First we had the availability announcement of Belkin cases and accessories, now DLO, iSkin and XtremeMac have jumped on the pile-up with some wild, if not all universally appealing, add-ons.

iSkin has a futuristically styled case, the "revo," silicone with an embedded antimicrobial agent to keep you healthy as you fling your iPhone into germ-infested situations. Revo also includes "a touch-compatible privacy film and a ViSOR, an ultra-clear polycarbonate scratch resistant screen guard for the large iPhone screen." It will set you back $39.99.

DLO Jam Jacket - $24.99 - It's a silicone case that comes in Black, Blue, Pink and Frost. There's a "headset management system" (that is, a few hooks so the wire doesn't tangle up). DLO promises "total access to iPhone controls" too.

DLO HipCase - $34.99 - For gentlemen who like to wear their phones on their belts (if not their pride on their sleeves). This leather flip-up case provides access to iPhone headset jack, even when closed.

DLO says an Action Jacket to protect iPhone from sweat is coming, along with updated iPhone compatible hardware such as an AutoCharger and a TransDock Deluxe with steering wheel-mounted remote control.

XtremeMac steps up with its first hardware, the $19.95 InCharge Auto car charger that boasts the official "Works With iPhone" seal of approval. By coincidence, it's also "Made for iPod."

<![CDATA[iSkin MacBook Sheath Reviewed (Verdict: Like a Condom—Safer, Less Feeling)]]> Remember those IBM clacking keyboards from way back in the day? And sometimes they would have a piece of plastic covering it that conformed perfectly to each key? iSkin unretired that 10-year-old idea with these Apple keyboard sheaths. These plastic sheaths sit on the top of MacBook, MacBook Pro, Powerbook and iBook keyboards and protect against liquids or crumbs getting into the keyboard.

Gear Diary took the sheath for a review and found that it worked fine as a slob food and drink guard, but slowed down typing a decent amount. My suggestion: go raw—it's better to enjoy your keyboarding experience than be safe. Or just don't eat or drink around the computer, pig.

<![CDATA[New ISkin EVo3 Case First Look]]> Got a naked iPod? Shame on you: get it covered before you get arrested. iLounge has a look at the latest iSkin eVo3 Limited Special Edition case, which has a funky black and red design that's a lot less vomit-inducing than the eVo2 Wildsides. It also makes it look like you laid out the extra cash for the iPod U2 edition. Buy one and make Bono mad.

<![CDATA[iSkin Claro Hands-On]]> We got our snausage-stained hands on the iSkin Claro case for the 30GB 5G iPod. It's got the traditional silicone iSkin layer inside of a hard, polycarbonate case.

The iPod slips right into the hole in the iSkin silicone layer, which then in turns goes into the hard shell by way sliding down and removing the front of the case. Drop the iPod in there and slide the case back on for a tight fit. The case feels really solid and looks like it can take some abuse. The kickstand on the back of the case extends out for video playback, and the click wheel is still accessible even with both "layers" on there.

So we decided to test out the "ClaroCoat" on the outer casing to see if it really protects the iPod from scratches. Other than being smudged by my greasy paws, there wasn't a scratch to be found on the case. You won't have to worry about the screen portion of the case being opaque with scratches after throwing it into your bag with your keys.

<![CDATA[iSkin Claro, Still iSkin, But Harder]]> iSkin is generally known for making soft, silicone cases for every damn iPod out there, but recently they have released their Claro. The Claro is a hard plastic case that includes a stand/belt-clip for the iPod. Don't worry, silicone lovers, the inside of the Claro includes a thin layer of their famous material to protect against damage from general wear and tear. The outside of the Claro also has a "ClaroCoat" for protection against scratches and whatnot. It is available for 40 bones through iSkin.

<![CDATA[Nacho Liebre iPod Skins]]> What's a better way to show the world that you love horrible Jack Black movies than to plaster it all over you cherished iPod. Okay, at first glimpse it wont look like a Nacho Libre themed skin, rather it will just look like a horrible skin with a very stupid design. No offense Jack Black, but you should just stick to the Tenacious D. These are made by iSkin and use the same silicon casing that iSkin has been made famous for. The iPod video version retails for $40 and the iPod nano version retails for $35. No big deal, you already spent $10 seeing this horrendous movie at the theatres, what is $40 more?
