Why do they have to get all fancy and use "2" in A2DP instead of just spelling it out to AADP...

... Ooh. I get it. Nevermind.

@Nick: They're Plantronics, and they're out of production--which is a shame, because they're pretty good. We narrowed our tests quite a bit to keep things light.

Because having to charge up a set of headphones for use is not all the convenient.

Is the benefit of losing a wire worth looking like an idiot while wearing these headphones?

A big deal breaker for bluetooth headphones (for me) is that you can't use them on airplanes.

I think I prefer the Motorola S9. Great sound quality. The over the ear design is much easier to use in the gym or running. Plus they have an HD model now as well.

@Mobius SF: I own a pair of the Motorokr S9-HD's and couldn't be happier. The sound quality is AMAZING, they hold a charge for an entire work day, and are incredibly light weight.

@tempo_kid92: I'm glad to hear the solid reviews. I'd considered getting that product because I prefer my earphones to be in the ear instead of over it, and was planning on exploring that option when iPhone OS3.0 is released. Thanks.

Wireless headsets are a tough sell for me, mainly because sound quality is generally lacking, while the obvious tradeoff is higher price for the wireless tech instead of the actual sound system. For making skype calls at home, mic-equipped sets are fantastic.

But all in all, these things just don't do it for me, now that the insane clown flipping the bird isn't there anymore.

@Kaiser 'Post April Fool Depression' Machead: I've had the same pair of wireless Sennheiser RS-45s for almost 8 years now. The sound quality is gorgeous... if you're at your desk the whole time. Static and interference comes almost immediately if you move more than 10 feet away. Still even then you can find a spot with little hiss up to 40 ft away, even through concrete, which gets the task done. They are great for gaming. I don't disturb the roommates and there are no wires to catch my keyboard as I fling it across the room in frustrated rage. I'll upgrade soon to newer set of wireless Sennheisers.... RS-140 maybe? Anybody have any recommendations? I'm looking to stimulte this bitch of an economy.

I'll stick with Sony monitor over the ear thanks, those look small and even pretty comfy, but with bluetooth range and battery life to consider, I'll pass. Even in a car the Bose noise canceling set is much better. It's hard to say for sure because the battery life isn't given, or the type like if they're replaceable or not. Nice design though, they certainly look sporty.

@Hello_Newman: You'd be surprised about that bluetooth range. Battery life is another story, I usually keep my bluetooth mouse plugged in so I don't notice, but it works from three rooms away. Makes it somewhere closer to 30 yards than the 30 feet it can "technically" get.

@The Amazing Ant: Hrm... I got one of the first Moto BT headsets to hit the market, and I've had the exact opposite experience, range is iffy, but I can listen to them for like 8-10hrs straight before the battery in the headset gives out, and they only take ~45mins to re-charge via USB...

i thought using a bluetooth stereo headset would drain your phone or any device faster?
