Today, that's exactly what he's delivered, with a bonus: Wiimote support, via Bluetooth.

Early reports—and this video—peg the app as slow and tough to control, even with the Wii attachment, which, if you've been following jailbreak game emulation on the iPhone at all, should sound familiar. What should also sound familiar are stories of how said emulators, after a few months of development, almost invariably become something completely different, subject to description by such exclusive adjectives as "playable" and even "OK." That n64iphone will get better one day is a matter of faith, but goddamnit, have hope!

n64iphone is available to jailbreakers in Cydia for $2.50—ROMs not included, obviously—which would be a fair price for a full-fledged N64 emulator, but feels a little high for what currently amounts to a very neat party trick. [EsferaiPhone]

<![CDATA[InstallerApp For Mac Installs Jailbreak Apps Without Jailbreaking Your iPhone]]> Ripdev's InstallerApp makes installing third-party jailbreak applications on your iPhone slightly easier, by eliminating the need to jailbreak your iPhone at all. You just need to pay $7 for the privilege.

The process works by installing an app onto your iPhone that's not quite jailbreaking, but is enough to allow those not-quite-official applications to get on there. If you gave us the choice of paying $7 or running jailbreak on our phones—which is fairly easy as long as you have some tech knowledge—we'd choose real jailbreak. [Ripdev via 9 to 5 Mac]

<![CDATA[iPhone Modem App Promises 10 Second iPhone Tethering]]> Just released yesterday, iPhone Modem for the Cydia jailbreak application repository promises tethering your laptop to your iPhone in just 10 seconds. We haven't gotten around to jailbreaking our own yet, but this one is supposedly even easier than the official NetShare tethering app in the official App Store. ModMyiPhone forum says it works just fine on both the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Careful using this on AT&T, since too much tethering data usage you're not actively "paying" for will get you neutered. UPDATE: There are multiple versions of this SSH tethering trick floating around, many even with the same name. Before paying $10 for the version we linked to previously, try the free iPhoneModem here first: [iPhoneModem.de]

<![CDATA[Snapture 2.0 Further Improves iPhone's Camera]]> Snapture's one-upped their third-party jailbreak iPhone camera suite with Snapture 2.0, which brings multi-touch gesture zoom, cleaner user interface a delay timer and four color modes. You can also now delete pictures on the "viewfinder" which is nice, or go slightly more advanced with the self-timer and the ability to shut off rotation. It's free as long as you jailbreak your iPhone, but $7.99 if you want the premium version without ads and with QuickView delete/thumbnail stack/thumbnail enlarge. [Snapture]

<![CDATA[Quake on iPhone Comes to Cydia Installer]]> That Quake game for the iPhone we wrote about a few months back has made it onto Cydia, the jailbreak application repository. Just Another iPhone Blog says it's not too slow and it doesn't make use of the accelerometer (so it's probably not the version we wrote about before), but it does play fairly well. Seeing as it's not the one we wrote about before, we're not sure if it's even networked, but c'mon, Quake on iPhone! [Just Another iPhone Blog]
