The old Bond jumped the shark when the sawed a BMW in half with a helicopter. Daniel Craig is a back to the basics Bond alomng the lines of Jason Borne. The only gadget Borne needs is a rolled up newspaper to whip your ass with.

perhaps the greatest and deadliest enemy of all time: the cobra kai. we defeat them gloriously with the artisitic grace and power of the crane kick and then sully that victory with not one, but three sequels. sure, the completely overwhelming and impossible to avoid drum punch was nice, but come on. and then that's followed up by the karate chubby middle-aged man. and then somehow daniel-san become a manly girl.

anyway, the future of weaponry is quite shockingly simple. if we're taking our weapon-design cues from movies, we need to look toward austin powers. no one can resist the nipple-shooters. you equip every one of our soldiers out there, start blaring some blondie - i touch myself and then let the stripping and dancing commence...well, you tell me how can the enemy not be mesmerized into submission whereupon we unleash the fury of the nipple-attack?

I thought the remote-control hospital in Casino Royale was a pretty slick gadget. But the silly banter between Q and Bond has no place in this reboot.

@Cisco-Kid: Agreed. Q and the fantastical gadgetry were gimmicks and did more to damage the Bond series than even Roger Moore did. The last good Bond flick before Casino Royale was Dr. No... "You've had your six {phttppt, phttppt}"

@Mark Wilson: Agreed. Just because Bond has been overhauled doesn't mean the man behind the gadgets and gizmos had to be booted. A new, more serious "Q" would be to add...I'm saddened by his removal.
