Transcend just announced a shiny new addition to its JetFlash USB lineup in the form of the V90. Available in sizes up to 2GB, the drives start at $27.99 and come in either a mother-of-pearl finish or a fiberglass weave over metal. With the included long chain, the drive can be worn as a necklace and should be a nice workaday alternative to that that Swarovski crystal HeartBeat locket you're eying—right, princess?

<![CDATA[Transcend JetFlash T2K USB Drive is Nearly Weightless]]> If you grow weary of those cumbersome USB flash drives you've been lugging around (most weigh about 10g), here's one that sheds nearly all of its weight. The Transcend JetFlash T2K weighs just 2 grams, and is available in your choice of capacities from 1GB ($15.90) to 4GB ($48.30).

Judging from the size of microSD cards the size of a baby's fingernail, we knew this was coming. The T2K isn't so small you would lose it in your pocket, but it's not big, either—it's just 1.6 inches tall and a mere 3mm thick. Can they get smaller than this? Probably.

<![CDATA[Transcend JetFlash 180 - Stores Data, Plays in Mud]]> We are always looking to spend a little too much on a flash drive, and Transcend's new JetFlash 180 might be just the ticket.

We've drooled on their products before, but their new offering is clad in stainless steel, the official steel of motorcycle gangs and housewives. Coming in 1, 4, and 8GB varieties, the 180s also feature PC locking, data encryption, data syncing and a slew of other software-based features. As for the durability, we're not sure if its quite this durable. The read/write speeds won't blow your mind, but such is the cost of not just carrying a Zippo. Price not yet announced.

<![CDATA[8GB Flash Drive Transcends Ludicrous and Surpasses Incredulous]]>
The saturation level of USB flash drives on the market surpassed "ludicrous" ten entries ago, and is fast approaching "incredulous" with a charmingly enthusiastic but ultimately pointless tenacity — like a 3-legged dog chasing a carrot on a stick attached to it s forehead.

BUT, this isn t just another flash drive, as storage media company Transcend have announced their holy-crap-is-that-8GB? flash drive as the new top end product in the Jetflash series. The product page gives very little away, but I assume we can expect a size slightly bigger than the 4GB version (88mm x 33mm x 15mm). How much? How MUCH?? , I hear you cry with mouths afroth from the thought of being able to store a universe of pr0nz in the palm of your hand — well this bad boy has a provisional retail price of 89,800 yen (approx. US$770). Hmm. Well, I guess being able to carry a small cul-de-sac of pr0nz on my iPod shuffle is good enough for now.
