1) I already have three hannukia (the correct term for the menorah used at Hannukah) and I don't need another.*
2) I am still opposed to electric hannukia on the grounds that it goes against the purpose of the holiday - to celebrate the miracle of the oil.
*There's a very good reason for my having three hannukia. In my old apartment, I lived on the second floor, and so I needed one for the window for passers-by and one for the home. The third one was the one my brother and I had when we were little that my mom passed down to me. It's steel and cost about $5 in 1968.
almost every single year after the prayers are said and done, i like to turn off the lights and watch the flames. they are, in a word, magnificant. i could see alot of people getting something like this, hell, if place into certain circumstances i might even get one of these things. but it'll never replace a real menorah.
oh..also...it appears that unless you're a real tech greek, that you cant turn on the lights individually...which you basically need if you are to celebrate hannukah correctly with this thing.
cross that out...no one using this thing is going to be celebrating hannukah correctly. last one to the chinese restaraunt is a goyam!

However, Hannukah isn't the gift-giving holiday; Purim is. And if you're wondering what we Jews like - same as the gentiles....
