100 Million iPods—in Sony's Face
It's official. Apple has sold 100 million iPods. According to the press release, this isn't just some round number. Apparently, 100 million units sold in five and a half years makes the iPod "the fastest selling music player in history." As if that wasn't enough of a potshot at Sony, makers of the now-forgotten Walkman, the press release goes on to quote Sony recording artist John Mayer, who sings the praises of the little white devil.
