And true to the spirit of the cartoon, they placed the audio connector in a well analyzed place:

The Msplayer has 2GB of flash memory and support for MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, ACT, WAV, and APE audio playback. When fully charged, the battery lasts roughly 9 hours. It comes in white, pink and blue, and costs roughly $40 in China. [imp3]

<![CDATA[Samsung YP-K5: Korea Gets All of the Cool MP3 Players]]> Samsung has released the YP-K5 MP3 player in Korea. This is pretty unfortunate for everyone else in the world because this player seems pretty awesome. It supports MP3, WMA, ASF and OGG. It is available in 1GB, 2GB or 4GB capacities and includes a snazzy, slide-out integrated speaker. The controls also look pretty good, along with the LCD screen. Damn you, Korea. Share the cool DAP love every now and then. iPods are just so 2004, we need something new to tickle our fancy.

<![CDATA[Freenex DMX-760 Navigator, Now With DMB Picture-in-Picture]]> Road warriors in Korea can look forward to the DMX-760, a Windows-based navigationa system complete with support for DMB TV broadcasts. The TV can show up in a Picture-in-Picture window, so when you're trying to find the next cross street you can be distracted/entertained by the idiot box. An AV mode lets users connect external devices, such as DVD players and digital music players.

There's a few other gems found in the DMX-760, like its seven-inch display being a touchscreen and the inclusion of an FM transmitter. (Don't cars already come with radios?) No price has been announced, however.

<![CDATA[Motorola Z Silver Slider Launched]]> The successor to the Motorola Z, or MX600, has been launched in South Korea. The Motorola Z Silver is a slider phone that is a tad thicker than the RAZR V3, includes a 2.2-inch color screen, 1.3-megapixel camera, mp3 player and all of the other standard—Bluetooth, phonebook, calculator, etc. Keep drooling, Americans. This phone is only available in South Korea through SK Telecom.

<![CDATA[Pet Translating Cellphone Service]]> SK Telecom has ignored the ideas of giving cellphones the ability to better understand humans and jumped directly to animals. They have introduced the premium pet translating service. It is very simple, surprisingly. The owner will input the age, sex and type of pet into the mobile phone. Then a call is placed to the pet translating service center which goes directly to a voicemail. Get the pet to bark, meow, squak or moo for 10 seconds and then the pet translating service will provide information about the current physical state of the pet.

The fun doesn't stop there. The service center has the uncanny ability to backwards translate. Ever want to call your dog a whore? The service center can translate your obscenities into the language (??) of 55 different dog breeds.

<![CDATA[LG LF-1200 Slider]]> This just in: Korea gets another sweet phone, Americans still wallow in self-pity. The LF-1200 from LG is a thin slider that is reminiscent of the LG "Chocolate" Phone that we mentioned back in February. The LF-1200 does have a couple stand-out features. First, it uses the integrated Bluetooth for walkie-talkie functionality—it's like those 'Where You At?' commercials, but far less lame. Secondly, just look at how stylish this phone is. Thin, sliding, checkerboard buttons—just sexy all around.

<![CDATA[Samsung SCH-B490 DMB Phone]]> Practically every day Korea gets a fancy new DMB phone. And everyday I get more and more jealous that the states cannot handle DMB, yet. This Samsung phones features a 2.15-inch screen that can rotate 360 degrees. 3.2 megapixel camera and SD memory expansion. Thanks to the very sexy CDMA2000 1EV-D0, this phone can stream video and television like a champ. Unfortunately it only includes 67MB of storage space, but that is always expandable via SD.

<![CDATA[Pantech Curitel PT-S210]]> This is mostly a camera phone for the kids. It has a 1.3-megapixel camera and MP3 built-in and uses a fairly unimpressive slide-em-out design that is sure to excite the wee ones. Korea-only, right now, obviously, but it'll cost about $300.

<![CDATA[Daewoo UMPC: Solo M1]]> Looks like more than one manufacturer can play the big honking DMB antenna game. This UMPC by Daewoo's computer arm, Lucoms, looks pretty standard and will be available in Korea in May.

It's got a 7-inch screen, 900MHz CPU, 1.3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WiBro. Suspecting this won't be available over here and I'm already kind of getting over my Origami fetish, so more power to them.

<![CDATA[SK Telecom LG-SD910 Duo Slider]]> Two different ways to slide, why the hell not? It kind of reminds us of the latest shaving razor shenanigans. In a couple of years we will see the SK Telecom Ultra Slider Deluxe Fusion featuring five different sliding mechanisms.

The screen slides out horizontally to unveil multimedia function keys and the entire face unit will slide vertically in the traditional manner to unveil the number pad. This phone also includes a 1.3-megapixel camera and an MP3 player. This is an exclusive phone through SK Telecom Korea, so no ultra-sliding for the U.S.

<![CDATA[Moto's New Korean Slider]]> Breaking news from Korea! Another company is releasing another cellphone! Actually this one stands out a bit more than others because it's manufactured by a very North-American-friendly Motorola. This is the MS600, an ultra-thin slider phone. It is just over half-an-inch thick and takes a lot of features from a possible predecessor, the Motorola V3. It also has a digital camera, mp3 player and such. It is available through SK Telecom in Korea this month, no word if it will be hitting the rest of the world.

<![CDATA[Samsung's 7.7 Megapixel Cameraphone]]> samfo.jpgThe SCH B500 should be considered a camera with some phone functions. This is obviously more importantly a camera than an actual phone. The camera is 7.7 megapixels and it even has an optical zoom. With the lens retracted it is nearly an inch thick and with the lens out it easily pushes two inches. It also features a large screen and expansion via trans flash memory. This phone even allows users to watch satellite TV and port it out to an actual television with TV-out. This is available in Korea soon through SK Telecom.

<![CDATA[EZAV Pebble MP3 Player]]> The Pebble MP3 Player is a new DAP with a kooky name released by Korean-based company EZAV (our sister-site Gizmodo NL wrote about this earlier in the month). Looking a bit like a shiny pebble you'd wear around your neck, the Pebble MP3 Player is pure stylin'. A blue OLED screen allows you to view things such as track information and battery life. This little device also contains a voice recorder and FM tuner for when you just get sick of your MP3s. File formats that are supported include MP3, WMA, and ASF, all transferred via USB 2.0. The Pebble comes in three colors as well: orange, white, and black. You can score the 512MB version for $125 or the 1GB version for $150. Just don't try skipping this across a lake or anything or you'll be sorry.

<![CDATA[FineDrive M700D Packs DMB, GPS, and More]]>
FineDrive is looking to take Korea by storm with its new M700D in-car multimedia system. It features GPS, video playback, and DMB for watching television while on the go. Now you won't need a huge dish attached to the car if you're looking to watch Battlestar Galactica. With easy navigation and few buttons, the FineDrive is a decent solution if you're looking to break into a combo GPS/DMB unit for your ride. A small jogwheel makes it easier to navigate menus while you swerve across the highway drive. No word yet on a release date or price.

<![CDATA[MobiBlu Non-Cubed MP3 Player]]> Believe it or not, MobiBlu does have other products than just the DAH-1500i tiny cube MP3 player that fanboys salivate over. This here is the DHH-200, a mini hard drive based MP3 player that is available in 6GB and 8GB models. It has a pretty big color screen along with all of the other features of today's finer MP3 players. Of course the iPod eats MP3 players like this for breakfast, but it is still nice seeing some competition.

<![CDATA[Dance, Fatty, Dance, Sez UFO]]> My family rolled into town a few days ago and they brought buckeyes with them. For those not in the know, buckeyes are peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate, creating a lump of pure lardo-inducing goodness that I can't resist. As a result, I need one of these things.

Reader Dan sent us this thing, which I'm sure I've seen before but never attached to the svelte midriff of a young, comely model. Apparently, you spin around, encouraging this UFO to spin. The online information is pretty skimpy except for a bunch of hyperbole, but the fact that I now look like a paunchy fat-ass is kind of making me think I need me a Dancing UFO.

<![CDATA[LG Busts Out Waterproof Cellphone]]>
LG Telecom in Korea yesterday dried off the canU 502S waterproof cellphone. Developed in part with Casio (cheap keyboards anyone?), the phone is the first truly waterproof cellphone to come out in Korea. LG Telecom spokesman Kang Shin-koo is pretty confident about the phone's ruggedness. Check what he had to say about the canU 502S:

"If dropped in a pool, tub or sink, this phone will survive in roughly thirty minutes since we sealed its tiny crevices with rubber packing,

Hold the phone. Thirty minutes underwater? That's an awesome amount of time to be able to recover your phone and still have it work. The phone is also shock- and weather-proof for the clumsy hikers and exercisers in your family who like to talk while breathing heavily through the mouth. Two big holes for a speaker and the built-in camera module were also specially treated to prevent water from soaking into the handset. Overall, this is a phone designed for the outdoors person who likes to get rough with nature. Now bring it over here, LG, so we can get our greasy little mitts on it.

<![CDATA[MPker Mobile Phone Speakers]]> Straight outta Korea is the MPker, a mobile phone speaker set that packs a nice little punch and has a sexy silver design. The MPker starts off more like a flat rectangle then expands to reveal the dock and speakers. It fits what looks like Samsung phones and some other models as well. Controls are available right underneath the dock so you're not sitting there fumbling with the phone's dinky buttons. The price for this speaker set is excellent as well, as it'll only set you back $34.
