Blu-ray-to-PSP Movie Transfers: How It's Gonna Work
When we heard about Blu-ray-to-PSP movie transfers getting all official we got pretty excited, even though the announcement was a little skimpy on the details: How big are the files? How long will it take to download a movie? How odious is the DRM? Most importantly, when? Well, we've got 'em all right here.

8 Reasons the PSP Will NEVER, EVER Overtake the DS
Our own pantsing expert Jason Chen recently wrote up 8 Reasons Why The PSP Might Overtake the DS. It was a fascinating article with some worthwhile arguments. But alas, he was completely, entirely wrong. Jason's logic is the consumer electronic equivalent of Zeno's Paradox, perfect in theory...but clearly fallible in real world testing. So here are my 8 reasons the Sony PSP (though a great handheld system), will never, ever take over the might Nintendo DS.

Wiimote, Rocking Horse Combined to Create Makeshift Racing Sim
These kids are little future modders, using household objects to take their gaming to the next level, and we salute them. By simply attaching a Wiimote to the back of a rocking horse, they've created some sort of crazy horse/motorcycle arcade game in their own basement. Sure, you have no access to the buttons and it only works on the kind of mediocre game that requires only the most basic of controller-twisting, but it does look like fun. And the little dude's got an admirable amount of control over his vehicle. Ride on, young modders. [Glumbert]The Gizmodo Ultimate Black Friday Deal Guide

Console modding extraordinaire Ben Heckendorn is up to it again; reminding us that, yes, he is still selling his sexy revision 5.1 Atari handhelds for $350 and a sacrificial 2600. The Atari Rev 5.1 really is his most complete system yet, including built-in paddle controller, difficulty switches and player 2 port for multiplayer games. More »Initial D Takes Arcade Driving Sims to the Next Level
At the Sega Joypolis, a 3-story arcade and amusement park at Tokyo Decks Beach (the same place as Muscle Park), they have a gigantic setup of the Initial D racing game. What makes this arcade driving setup different and much, much better than any other? The fact that you ride in real cars while you play. Yes, you get fully strapped into a Subaru Impreza WRX, Mazda RX-7 or the Tofu car from the series, which then move around realistically while you drive. It'll set you back 600 yen a ride (about $5.25), or it's free if you have an unlimited day pass, which I did, allowing me to ride it over and over again. [Sega Joypolis]

Game Bank is Your One-Stop Shop for Chinese Videogame Knockoffs
Game Bank is a small, crowded shop in Akihabara that sells video game equipment. But you won't find any PS3s or Xbox 360s here. No, it specializes in Chinese knockoffs. So if you're looking for a Dr. Boy, an XB 360, a TriStar 64, or accessories for your Nintendo Wü, this is the place to come. It also had piles of red masks, including ones of Osama bin Laden and George Bush, and some other strange stuff tossed in for good measure. This is Akihabara weirdness at its finest.
Taito Touchscreen Arcade Card Battle Game Looks Like MS Surface
Japanese arcade fans should get ready to pull out their lightning bolt, lightning bolt, lightning bolt, because this Taito touchscreen arcade game looks pretty awesome. The Engrish Google translation leaves us wondering at how exactly the game works, but from what we can gather, you put real cards onto the virtual board, which makes stuff happen on the video screen up top, which then determines whether you win or lose the battle. We're going to guess lose, since that's the only way the game will force you to plunk down another 500 Yen for four new cards. [Impress]
