    Let the speculation begin!
    I'm hoping for a Macbook Pro with USB 3.0 and blu-ray within the next year- that's when I upgrade from my late '06 MBP.
    Either that or a black Powerbook G5 with carbon fiber casing and a DVD burner in it. That would be sweet...

    I knew there was a reason I was putting off buying a new laptop. I just hope that OEMs actually decide to bundle it with a decent GPU, not that GMA4500 garbage.

    I'm in the market for a cheap and portable laptop/netbook in the $400-500 range. I'm looking for 10-14" screen, dual core CPU, and 2+ GB memory. The Aspire listed above looks pretty nice! However, I'm not sure how the celeron performs. Does anyone have advice on other alternatives?

    @madog: there are advantages specific to two monitors.
    the ease of being able to have multiple applications full screened. Desktop management, being able to view more data easier. it also gives you tons of geek cred!

    @twiner: You could accomplish the same with a larger screen and a few extra clicks. "why not just make 10 louder?"

    The only advantage is the smaller footprint. Instead I think it would be better advertised as a "foldable" or expandable screen, as opposed to two.

    @Bruce Hawkins: I don't. I think the future will be flexible displays that you can make as large or as small as you want ( like, by rolling them out or something ). I don't see the point of making a laptop so effing big....
