If you recall, it was announced that the BlackBerry 8320 would be available at AT&T on September 23, but an entire month has passed, and here I sit, with a new AT&T contract, and without a new BlackBerry 8320 in my hand. Bummer. Check out the second pic below, or head over to BGR for more shots. [BGR]

<![CDATA[AMD Processor Roadmap Leaked Online: Quad-Core "Deneb" Phenoms in January]]> AMD's immediate processor plans have been leaked in the form of a PowerPoint slide to Spanish site CHW.net. Dual-core "Brisbane" Athlons at 2.6GHz are due in October, alongside "Toliman" triple-core Phenoms. November sees the single-core "Lima" Athlon chip, obviously destined for low-power devices, since it runs at 1.6GHz and draws just 15W. Most interesting to processor fanatics will be the 45nm Phenoms slated for a January 8th launch. Both are quad-core "Deneb" chips, one running at 2.8GHz, one running at 3GHz and both drawing a chunky 125W of power. The "ultra-value client" devices scheduled for November are also intriguing: AMD's answer to Intel's Atom perhaps? [CHW.net via Reghardware]

<![CDATA[Leaked Document Shows Verizon's Psyops Anti-iPhone Propaganda]]> Oh, deary deary me... Verizon's tactics to combat the JesusPhone 3G now include briefing its employees about the iPhone's failings, so they can answer customer questions about why it doesn't carry the device. There are four big "myths" about the cellphone apparently, ranging from "twice as fast" to "iPhone data plan covers all data," there's even a dig about the lack of audible turn-by-turn GPS navigation. Hasn't Verizon worked out that that's just an app, and is a facility that may yet be added in the future?

My fave "mythbusting" point has to be that the iPhone 3G "will be twice as fast only where AT&T has 3G coverage!" No shit... like, you can only run trains on train tracks? OK, so it's really a dig at AT&T's 3G coverage, but you get my point.

This has apparently been distributed within Verizon, and though there's the possibility that it's not quite legit, it certainly seems the real deal to me. What do you think, chaps? [Thanks, Harris!]

<![CDATA[More Canon EOS 50D Images Leak]]> Last Friday we showed you Canon EOS 50D specs leaked on a Chinese site, but by the time our story was up, the shots had been yanked. Photography Bay just released more official-looking shots of the camera—shown here and below the jump at slightly reduced resolution—plus a 1600 ISO sample image and a shot featuring a 18-200mm lens kit option. <![CDATA[Canon EOS 50D Leaks on Canon China Site]]> It looks like data on the upcoming Canon EOS 50D DSLR has been leaked onto the web, by Canon itself. Details appeared briefly on Canon's China site, although the link now is disabled, and gave an insight into what specs the beast will have. They're pretty decent: it's a 15.1-megapixel camera (with standard 1.6x CMOS sensor factor) with a 9-segment AF/AE sensor array, 95% view viewfinder and shoots at ISO 100 to 3200, with an "expansion" to 6400 and 12800. There's also face recognition auto focus, 6.3 frames-per-second high-speed shooting, and 14-bit image processing by the Digic 4 processor. Interestingly it'll have an HDMI output too. Obviously we'll have to wait for a proper release to know more—including data on prices and release dates. [Canon.cn via NeutralDay.com Thanks, Patrick!]

<![CDATA[BlackBerry 8210 and 8820 Flip Phones Leaked by Web Retailer]]> A tiny mistake by online retailer Expansys has revealed two new quad-band BlackBerry clamshell phones. Some info on the 8220 has surfaced before, but the 8210 seems new. The phones are apparently very similar, with both having a 2.6-inch internal 240x 320 pixel screen, a small 160 x 128 external screen, and clamshell format. Both have SureType keyboards and a trackball, 2-megapixel cam and microSD expansion. But while the 8210 has in-built GPS, the 8220 sports Wi-Fi connectivity. There was no release date or price available on the leaked page before it was whipped down by Expansys. [Reghardware]

<![CDATA[Leaked Pics Seem to be Upcoming Nokia N79 Cellphone]]> Over at BoyGeniusReport there's a bunch of images that seem to be leaked shots of an upcoming Nokia N-series cellphone, the N79. It's faintly similar to the N82, and supposedly has a 2.4 inch QVGA screen, and a 5-megapixel camera beneath with flash. BGR suggests we may learn more on Monday, from Nokia itself. There's also a bunch of confusion over whether the pics are real, but they certainly seem it to me, complete with its strangely pinstriped rear shell. What do you think, guys: Real or no deal? UPDATE: It looks like are pics of a Chinese-made knockoff of the N79. Oh well. [BGR]

<![CDATA[Blurred Photos Show Latest Motorola RAZR VE20 Coming to Sprint]]> Over at PhoneArena they've got a bunch of pics that show the upcoming new Motorola RAZR phone, the VE20. Through the blur you can see the phone is mirrored, features the classic laser-cut keypad and has a touch-sensitive pad on the outer shell like the V9m. The cell has a 2-megapixel cam, a QVGA main display which is "very crisp" and will apparently be the first phone to allow you listen to as well as watch NFL broadcasts through the NFL Mobile Live application. It's due to be a Sprint exclusive, out August 17th. [PhoneArena]

<![CDATA[BlackBerry Javelin Photos Leak Out]]> A few months ago while talking about the rumored BlackBerry Niagara we mentioned the Javelin. And now it looks like a RIM insider has managed to sneak a few photos of a prototype copy of the phone. It's a standard quad-band GSM/EDGE cell, with 480 x 360 LCD, GPS, Wi-Fi, a 3.2 megapixel camera and it'll run the 4.6 OS. It's slated for release "next year" apparently, which sounds like a pretty long way away for something that sounds like a dumbed-down Bold. [BGR via Pocket Lint]

<![CDATA[Leaked Sprint Roadmap Shows Palm Treo 800W, BlackBerry Curve And Possibly the HTC Touch Pro]]> Here's an alleged upcoming Sprint roadmap for Q3 2008 that shows several interesting phones and several lowbies. What you're probably looking forward to is the Palm Treo 800W and the BlackBerry Curve in red on July 13, but there's also the blue LG Rumor, MotoRAZR VE20, Sanyo Katana Eclipse, Samsung M320, Samsung M220, Moto Renegade V950, HTC MP6950 and Moto i365. The HTC MP6950 sticks out to us since the current HTC Touch is the MP6900, so this probably makes it the Touch Pro with slide-out keyboard. We'd definitely want one of those. [Sprint Users]

<![CDATA[Rumor: Leaked Microsoft Email Confirms 60GB Hard Drive Package, 120GB Hard Drive Price Drop]]> A leaked email sent out to buyers at GameStop and Blockbuster shows three things that Microsoft will announce before or around E3 next week. One, there's a 60GB Pro console package coming. Two, there's a $99 60GB hard drive pack for Arcade and Core owners, which comes also with 3 months of Xbox Live, a wired headset and an Ethernet cable. Three, the 120GB hard drive will drop down to $149 in September. Nothing extraordinary, but all pretty decent announcements for people who don't already have enough space on their 360s. Hit the jump for the full email.

With the introduction of the 60GB Pro console in July, we have research that suggests it is very important to have a 60GB stand alone Hard Drive to go along with it to allow the consumer a full range of choices and values. In late October/early November (exact date TBD but most likely last week in October or 1st week in November), we will ship the Xbox 360 60GB Hard Drive, tentatively called the “Xbox 360 60GB LIVE Starter Pack”. This will be an excellent value price at and ERP of $99.99 with an 18% retail margin that contains:

· 60GB Hard Drive

· 3 Months of Xbox Live

· Xbox 360 Wired Headset

· Xbox 360 Ethernet Cable (same one that is included with Pro and Elite)

Positioning: For Xbox 360 Arcade and Core console owners, the Xbox 360 60GB Live Starter Pack offers all of the components to get onto Xbox LIVE and jump in to on line multiplayer gaming and Marketplace content downloads at an incredible value.

With the end of life of the 20GB Hard Drive and the price drop of the 120GB Hard Drive to $149.99 in September, this new 60GB hard drive will fit very well into our “Choice and Value” pillar and will fit nicely into our accessory line up. Exact SKU/UPC/Set up info will come soon and once we nail down the exact MSD, I will let you all know immediately.

<![CDATA[Sony Ericsson's Alicia Walkman Phone Tour Video is Slicktastic]]> Sony Ericsson's upcoming "Alicia" Walkman phone has a very interesting circle on the outside of its flip-casing. This video lets us in on its secret—it's a display? If we're interpreting it correctly, the front surface might have two displays, one small square one on top of the larger circular one, which also acts as a control pad for music, weather, and other apps. Hmmm, a portable music device that has a square on the top and a circle on the bottom. Where have I seen that before? Oh right, the Zune. [Se-nse]

<![CDATA[Samsung i900 Cellphone Hands-on Photos Leaked]]> We first brought you leaked mock-ups of Samsung's upcoming i900 cellphone in January, along with a single pic and some specs. Until now, that's all we have to go on, but now Chinese site pconline.com.cn has got their hands on a real model and some more details on what the touchscreen phone will have inside.

That 5-megapixel camera is confirmed by these photos, and it looks like there's the word "autofocus" on the bezel too. And that 3.5-inch touchscreen is supposedly a WQVGA resolution display, at 240x400 pixels. The phone is quad-band, 3G and HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps, with wi-fi, FM radio functionality and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR. There's 16GB on-board memory, it'll run Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and there's a microSD slot for expansion.

The phone will apparently also have integrated GPS, a TV-out port and will measure 4.4 x 2.2 x 0.5 inches. There's no official word from Samsung about this cellphone yet, so the release date and price remain a mystery. [Navigadget]

<![CDATA[iPod Nano Getting Purple Paint Job?]]> This image from a Circuit City advertisement seems to show the iPod nano dressed up in yet another sickening color—this time deep purple. The advertisement was spotted in a circular today, but we have not seen it for ourselves. Has anyone glimpsed a shot of the picture in question? And do we really need purple to add to the list of nauseating colors the iPod nano already comes in? Sentences ending in questions aside, we have seen the iPod shuffle gain a similar purple treatment, so it does not seem imposible. We'll let you know as soon as we hear any official word on the potential update. [Connection Podcast]

<![CDATA[Nokia N96 Specs Leaked By Ze Germans]]> The Germans over at Nokia have posted the N96 specs on Nokia's Germany product page. There are still no official images but the N95 successor has the same obvious specs, 3G, 2.8 inch LCD, WiFi b/g, AGPS, 5MP camera, and MicroSD slot. What's new to this model is the 16GB internal memory, 950 mAh battery, ability to use flash while video recording, microUSB, and Flash Lite 3 enabled web browser.

The size is also new with the N96 being slightly longer and wider but .07 of an inch thinner than the N95. A release date is obviously still unknown and since these specs are on the German Nokia site they could change when the N96 finally hits the states. [Nokia via IntoMobile]

<![CDATA[Motorola ZiNe Z12 Leaked Pictures?]]> Does this phone (on the right), documented in this leaked picture, match up with the invisible phone in the teaser video that we saw on YouTube yesterday? Perhaps, and the Czech site Mobile.cz is saying that the phone has a larger display and touchscreen controls—which you can see in the picture—but also have such slightly more advanced tech as a GPS, Wi-Fi and a 5 to 8-megapixel camera. If Moto had fancy phones like this last year, maybe their CEO wouldn't have had to take the reins. [Mobil.idnes.cz via Unwired View]

<![CDATA[Internal AT&T Memo Details Contract Free Rate Plans, Handset Must be Paid for in Full]]> One of our sources at AT&T has leaked to us an internal document; the memo details the process for obtaining a contract bundle without the obligatory 1 or 2-year commitment term. The basis for the non-commitment bundles is the customer must pay for the handset in full, losing the subsidized rate that is offered with fixed contract terms. The memo pins the start date of the non-commitment bundles as November 2007, but we have heard no word on any such contractual freedom previously. UPDATE: This entire document, another source tells us, is meant to inform ill informed employees of an existing thing. AT&T has done this for years.
