And yet apple won't release a factory touch panel. Think about how much you spend on a useless mac first, then add a touch panel. This sounds like a troll already. And yet I can't stop thinking about surfing this retarded site: [www.f2bbs.com]
From the apple site: "Other display connectors have you lining up pins or fumbling with screws."
.......really....without getting into the atrocious specs of this display(as the frequent f-bomb occurences throughout the comments denotes),lol does seem like they would include an adapter for the mini d-port
Yeah, I'm very glad to have my fucking HP display right now, and I'll probably get a higher end HP with better colors soon enough. Seriously screwball design on this sucker, since it's virtually proprietary (lol virtually).
HELL NO! This display has a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 330 cd/m^2 and 14 ms (!!!) response time. You'd figure that it's LED that it would have a better brightness and, but NO. It's actually DIMMER THAN THE OLD 23" MODEL (400 cd/m^2)...WHAT THE HELL? WHAT HAPPENED?!
@daftrok: you're paying for LED backlighting, which isn't able to get quite as bright but has much better color gamut and shifts less, and doesn't need to be calibrated as often. While those other monitors work great, Apple monitors tend to be world class when color accuracy is crucial.
Bullshit. LED is suppose to be brighter than CCFLs and the color gamut is not specified. Either way, even if the color accuacy is great the insane glossiness of these monitors debunk that. Long story short, these are NOT professional monitors.
Again, please wait and see when they're tested. They MIGHT not work, but if I learned anything from the ethernet dongle for the Air, apple may have just been fibbing by omission.
@OGHowie: Has anyone tested this yet? Apple is notorious for leaving out exceptions.
For example, the USB ethernet dongle for the Macbook Air works with all of the other Macs in the event that your ethernet port is busted, but clearly states on the packaging and the website that it works exclusively with the Air.
I'm tempted to get the microphone-equipped premium buds, but I'm not sure. I have to see how they rate.
As for the ACD, it's one big massive kick in the nads for people who do actual work. A glossy Macbook Pro is a bit forgivable if you use an external display for high-end stuff, but having this thing be glossy by default will piss off a lot of people who have to use these things in well lit rooms, which is damn near everyone.

I guess it'll be the older model if I replace mine. FW hub FTW.
