@Git Em SteveDave loves this guy->★: ...which Max Brooks addressed in his Zombie Survival Guide, and SHAME ON WHOEVER HASN'T READ IT. See if I let you into my fortified compound.
@drjayphd: I understand they can walk on the bottom, but since they are decaying, they should have some buoyancy, which would mean they can't really walk on the bottom. They would more than likely be a foot off the bottom. and should technically be at the mercy of the tides.
He's off the coast but not part of the United States. He got his buddy George Bush to allow him to separate from the US. So he is basically on a sovereign island nation... Not sure about the veracity of that, just dredged it up from remembering past articles I read. I think it was in newsweek or time..
son of a cattle herder, the more i learn about him the more i feel like retracting my statement. but then again, the more i learn about him, the more i hate him for being that much more awesome than me. so my original statement still stands.
@Eauboy: you're sort of right... When he debuted the segway for Bezos and Co., he had two in a duffel bag that he assembled in the conference room in under ten minutes. Clearly there were compromises made in getting them to the masses that ruined the vision. They weren't supposed to have batteries, but stirling engines running on hydrogen. They were supposed to weigh about as much as a mountain bike.
Compromise towards the lowest common denominator is what made the segway a bullshit device (and Dubya STILL couldn't use one without falling off).
@Anonymoose: As minor recurring characters go, Gil has been consistently funnier than Disco Stu, who should have remained a one-off like Grimey and Scorpio.
He's based on Jack Lemmon's Shelly from Glengarry Glen Ross. If you haven't seen it, NetFlix it. Simpsons has referenced it numerous times.
@Wormfather is Wormfather: agreed. Scorpio is far better than Grimes. Homer was such a freakin' jerk, and Grimes was too uptight. Scorpio's laid-back "ever see a guy say goodbye to a shoe?" attitude was much more enjoyable.
@Git Em SteveDave loves this guy->★: Glengarry Glen Ross is old hat for ponies. He makes reference to it at all meetups. When Kaiser and I met up with him in Union Sq, he couldn't stop telling us to watch it.

And in all fairness, the Segeway really could have 'transformed the way we build cities' if only we could send them back in a time tunnel to 1895.

Number 1, in my opinion, is Frank Grimes.

@Anonymoose: Gil is good. He did convince me to get the rust proofing on those Coleco's.

Just like some pencil company executive.
Hank Scorpio didn't have that working for him. Which is why Grimey is better.
