@Thao: The problem is that businesses buy ThinkPads for dependability and predictability. To these customers, change is not good, unless it's performance upgrades. So even if they're ugly, they sell well because it's a familiar ugly.
Thinkpads are really the only PC laptop I'd ever buy. Aside from the durability, it really has one of the nicest keyboards I've ever used. After growing so accustomed to the trackpoint, I don't even care if the trackpad is the same tiny POS found on most PC laptops.
