As soon as my screen hinge started to get loose, I called up applecare and they replaced it. I don't understand why that is so hard. Annoying yes, hard, no. But this is why you get the warranty.
Gods, what a douche. Marble countertops and a peacock feather duster/fan? You know what? How about you have some respect for your possessions and take care of them? If you would take a knife to your laptop on camera, than you don't care about your stuff. I've spent two weeks off and on trying to fix a computer I found on the side of the road. Even after all of it's attempts to drive me crazy, I still haven't thrown it against a wall.
@Wants A CU Labcoat_GitEmSteveDave: I'm the same way when it comes to poor orphaned computers, but I'm trying to get out of the habit of adopting them, seems like every one I pick up uses DDR SDRAM which is like the ONLY type of RAM that hasn't gotten dirt cheap as of late...
The worst shame is the GreenMachine. I spent three weeks painting it, and I finally decided to start it up, and it was dead.
Luckily, even though it's 10 years old, it follows ATX standards. Sadly, Dell has said "screw you" to the standards when making their mobo's, so all the extra's I have floating around are useless(moreso than normal).
