If you haven't heard of Broken Bells, I highly recommend you check them out. I'm really digging the album.
From Uncrate: A killer collaboration between James Mercer of The Shins & Danger Mouse, Broken Bells ($10) sounds more-or-less exactly how you'd expect. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Filled with light, floaty melodies that belie the eponymous album's gloomy lyrics, Bells mixes Mercer's distinctive voice and subtle guitar strumming with the alien sounds and funky beats DM is known for, creating a new, yet familiar sound that's satisfying, but nothing revolutionary — kinda like the last couple iterations of the iPhone.
#observation I just wanted to say that I am impressed with how the editorial/writing body here at Gizmodo is policing the comments, as well as each other as staff, moderator and commenter/reader alike.
For the first time on a Gawker website, I have observed the Editor-In-Chief show accountability for his area of responsibility (Gizmodo) and showing candor in a lapse of judgement from one of his writers (which shall go unnamed in this post.)
I have also noticed a PROFESSIONAL and COURTEOUS handling and moderation of the threads on this Gawker site that shows that the staff here are leaps and bounds above the other Gawker sites.
I have a newfound respect for Gizmodo, and look forward to any further pleasant surprises that I see on here.
Hopefully, other Gawker sites will take note at the progress made here and attempt to emulate it. From my grievances with a certain Gawker website, they could certainly learn a thing or a thousand from here!
@modestmouse: Well for some reason it's on random. Don't know how I managed that. And I've tried about 5 different browsers in the last 2 weeks alone and this one worked best for Youtube.
@Slyd3z: The problem is as an unstarred commenter, you look for promotions as validation. The inherent flaw is that sometimes starred people will appreciate your comment without promotion.

Michelin Man and Michelin Baby gears up for the fight.
Unfortunately, the fight does not last long as the Ghostbusters shoots the Michelin Man with their Proton Pack in a case of very mistaken identity. While stunned, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man squashes the Michelin Man.
important question: is it more important to spell really well or to be able to burp really loudly?
i'm going to have to go with the latter. you've never heard a story about how someone saved another person's life by being able to spell floccinaucinihilipilification correctly. and yeah, maybe you've never heard of someone saving someone's life by burping, but that would be a much better story.

I know that VNC/etc will let me share an entire screen from another computer, but what if I just want to share one application's window (or windows, I guess) from a guest machine?
For instance, I'm currently downstairs working on a playlist. The problem is all of my music is upstairs, and iTunes will not let me burn a playlist with music that is not locally stored, so I need to work on the remote computer. Sharing the entire screen is clumsy, I just need one iTunes window!
