@Geisrud: I've heard of chicken & waffles. I do watch the food network ;c) I've just never personally eaten chicken with my waffles. It sounds weird. Though I could be missing out on an amazing combination.

Next time I make waffles, I'm frying up some chicken.

Boy, those ARE old pictures. Those look like lima beans in jar in the first photo, and I don't think anyone has eaten lima beans in at least 40 years.

I am still waiting for replicators so I can have instant dinner as soon as I park my flying car in my cloud house and while auto incinerate my paper clothing, so I never have to do laundry again.

Love the idea of waffle iron and toaster in the counter top. Raising the cooking surface several inches isn't that bad though, and it would de-clutter the countertops (or allow more room for clutter, whatever)
