Leica's Limited-Edition White M8 Digital Is Beautiful
I've really been digging these white cameras lately. Pentax's cookies 'n' cream K2000 and now the decidedly more luxe limited-edition Leica M8. If you have to ask how much it costs, it's not for you. More » -

Limited Edition Wall-E Roomba From Japan Sucks in More Ways Than One
Limited-edition Wall-E Roomba: that brings to mind a certain image of an already-fairly-cute vacuum bot taking on two puppy dog eyes, an adorable electro-babble voice synth and maybe even an inclination to maintain a little nest of sad artifacts it has horded from your waste in an unseen corner of your giant house. Or at least, um, something that looks like the robot whose actual job was to sweep the floor in the movie? Sadly, this limited edition Wall-E Roomba fails on almost every possible count. More » -

Limited Edition Dark Knight Blu-ray With Bat-Pod Display Case
We already knew that a special edition of the upcoming Dark Knight Blu-ray release was going to drop alongside the standard version on December 9th, but the first images have only just leaked out from TheHDRoom. Outside of the case, both versions are identical—so I find it hard to justify spending $65 on this thing (the standard version is currently on pre-order for $25). But then again, I'm cheap like that. Art. Suono iPod Sound System Could Probably Catch Dinner
DWV, the same guys responsible for designing products under the Ferrari brand, are attempting to reinvent the tired old iPod dock with their new Art. Suono Wireless Music Transmission System. Billed as a luxury item (get ready for sticker shock), the Art. Suono allows users to transmit audio from just about any source to a sound system of their choice. It features their proprietary DWC-APHEX circuitry, which claims to restore the harmonics lost in compressed music files as well as an iPod docking station, "Engine Start" button, a "Shift" input signal switch, a concealed input signal jack, and LED indicators. Plus, it looks like a friggin' fishing reel. Can't beat that for $1500. Available in limited quantities starting in October. More » -

Dealzmodo: LE Halo 3 Xbox 360 Going for $199 at Hot Topic
Hot Topic? Yeah, it seems weird, but the bottom line is that if you act now you can score a Limited Edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 for only $199. If you've been paying attention, that is the same price that the Arcade system is currently going for. The only difference is that this version scores you a 20GB hard drive, a play and charge kit, a headset and a stylish Spartan Green paint job. [Hot Topic via Kotaku] -

Sharp XS1 Flagship Ultrathin LCDs and D65U & D85U Little Friends Headed For US.
We saw Sharp's "Limited Edition" Aquos XS1 LCDs at IFA, and now at CEDIA they're official for an as-of-now unpriced US release in October (seeing a pattern here?). The 65-inch LC-65XS1U-S and 52-inch LC-52XS1U-S are 1-inch thin (at their thinnest point), and feature Sharp's RGB LED backlight, which they say improves color accuracy over other blue-only LED backlights and allows for a 1,000,000:1 claimed contrast ratio. Joining them are the D65U and D85U series, which bring 120Hz to the mid-range. For full details and more shots of all, hit the jump. More » -

Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch First NASA Certified for All Space Missions
The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch designed by NASA back in the '70s puts your puny Earthwatch to shame, because it's the first watch that's NASA certified for ALL space missions. Its anodized aluminum body can withstand temperatures from -148 to +260° Celsius, and its sassy red exterior is sure to impress any ladyaliens you meet on your travels. There's no confirmed price, but with a limited run of less than 2,000, we're betting it won't come cheap. If you can afford to go to space, you can afford one of these. [Josh Spear] -

Dark Knight Xbox 360 Available On eBay For $Obscene
The limited edition Dark Knight Xbox 360 that Mark was willing to end his marriage for is now available on eBay. Bid fast and bid hard, cause they've only created 110 of these and not all of them are going to be scalped. The going price seems to be somewhere around $1200, which is obscene even if it's a Dark Knight version. Even Bruce Wayne wouldn't buy one of these, and he buys hotels just so he can pee in its pool. Pokemon DS Lite Hits US, Only Slightly Embarrassing to Own
The limited-edition Pokemon DS Lite was actually released in Japan back in 2006, but is just now showing up in a Gamestop ad in the US. The flashy, surprisingly mature paintjob features Dialga and Palkia, the two Pokemon—Pokemons? Pokemen?—from the Diamond and Pearl covers. It looks to come with a nice bundle, including carrying case, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DVD "special," a poster of Grovyle and a Pokemon t-shirt. I prefer the even artier Honeybee DS Lite, but if you're dying for some Poke-branding this side of the Pacific, you could do worse than pick this up for the standard $130. [GoNintendo] -

James Bond's Sony Ericsson C902 Cybershot to go Public
Sometimes the strangest part of writing for Giz is decoding press releases: like this morning's Sony Ericsson one. Did they leave out an image of the upcoming special limited-edition C902 Cybershot James Bond phone to add to the mystery? Is it supposed to be kinda secret, à la Bond himself? Who knows: luckily T3 snagged a picture of the "titanium silver" phone. 007 himself uses it in the movie Quantum of Solace, and you can get your hands on one too. Hardware-wise the phone is unchanged from the 5-megapixel camera original, but will come with 007-themed content, including a "spy-style" game. Quite how this makes sure you're "ready for any challenge" I'm not sure. It's a mystery. As is price and release date. Blimey, Sony Ericsson's really good at this cloak-and-dagger stuff isn't it? OLPC RED
Photos: Red OLPC Limited Edition
Wilson caught this limited edition Red OLPC at the company's headquarters near MIT's campus in Cambridge today. The limited edition run of 100 is made for developers working on the dual boot Sugar Linux and Windows XP system, and has specs identical to the regular OLPC, except 2GB of RAM2GB flash memory—the minimum required for Windows. As you can see, the color scheme is the inverse of the all-red prototype you may have seen before. There are no plans for a public release, so the closest you'll get to seeing this may be in the gallery below. More » -

The Opus 8 Watch Puts a Pin-Art Spin On The Mechanical-Digital Display
If the Di Grisogono Meccanica DG was the first watch with a mechanical-digital display, the Opus 8 watch by Harry Winston comes in at a close second. While the DG used mechanical tubes to display the time, the Opus 8 works using a complicated system of mechanical pixels that rise up from the display when the user activates a mechanism on the side of the case. But that's not all. More » -

Embellished with a super hot Transformers design, only 300 will be made, all of which will be allocated to the Land of the Rising Sun. Each Zippo carries its own unique identifier number, and they will be available in either black or silver, which are both equally as fabulous. Retailing at around 12,000 yen, there really has never been such a good reason to take up smoking. [desinformado via Akihabara] -

Limited Edition Jawbone Headsets Look Incredible
The default Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth headsets already look quite stylish for a Bluetooth headset, but these Yves Behar-created limited edition sets beat his originals by quite a bit. The white, brown and black headsets are smooth, unlike the pock-marked original design, and represent trash talk, sweet talk and dirty talk, respectively. We can't quite make out what the picture for sweet talk is supposed to be, but the dirty and trash talk are obvious. If we didn't already own a Jawbone for our in-the-car conversations, we'd nab one of these ASAP. [Fuse Project via Josh Spear via Yanko] More » -

Gibson Intros "World's First Robotic Guitar": Tuning May Be a Thing of the Past
We posted a video of the Robot Guitar in action early last month, but now we have some sexy pics and some release date info for guitarists the world over to get excited about. In case you haven't heard, the Robot Guitar can tune itself with a simple push of a button. Servos in the headstock can tune the guitar to one of seven presets; with default being A440, and the remaining six being based on hit songs. The guitar can also be tuned manually via a knob located on the body that doubles as a volume controller. More » -

D-Link DIR-660 Limited Edition 802.11n Router Reviewed (Verdict: Good Looking, Great Speeds, Lousy Range)
D-Link's all white DIR-660 Limited Edition Wireless N router looks great on the outside, and performs decently on the...outside. There's MIMO, which is fantastic, along with an OLED display on the top for status updates, but an old Netgear G router i4u tested with had better range than the 660 even in N mode. Speeds were great, but you give up range for throughput. Only good if you've got a tiny apartment, or you really love OLED displays you can only read from a few feet away. [i4u] -

Unconfirmed: Nokia N93i Transformers Edition
This is still unconfirmed, but intomobile is claiming that the Nokia N93 will get a Transformers edition coming some time in Q3 '07. It'll be essentially the same as the regular N93, but include a Transformers game, some background images, and Transformers-ish ringtones. For those of you who actually saw the movie, there's a scene (video after the jump) with a N93 doing some transformations of its own. No confirmation on this rumor yet, but it sounds fairly reasonable to us. More » -

Peter Moore on the Limited Edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 Console
Remember that tepid reaction to the limited edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 announcement at Microsoft's press conference on Tuesday? We had an interview with Peter Moore earlier today, and Moore blames the reaction on himself and his "showmanship" as a presenter. Moore also says he's not worried about the reaction of the crowd, and will judge the reaction of the console by how much it sells. More » -

What Happens When a Nintendo DS Lite and Pikachu Get Busy
This sunny-side-up DS Lite is the limited edition result of a love-in with PIkachu and Nintendo. However, the bad news is that there's no guarantee you'll get your paws on one, as this yella fella with Pikachu etched on the cover is so limited that it's only available via a lottery system (and $139). Despite not being a huge fan of standard pink gadgets, this powder pink Zune is turning out to look snazzier than we thought. Limited Edition Sidekick III Coming In The Next Few Weeks?
Reader Abe was digging around the sidekick.com site, the same site T-Mobile used to launch the T-Mobile Sidekick 3, and found some hidden easter eggs. After finding all five eggs, the site displayed a message to come back on August 11th for "hidden treats". Since August 11th came and went without any announcements, Abe emailed the company that designed the site for T-Mobile to ask them whether there were any updates coming soon. Their response: check back in a few weeks for some nice Limited Edition stuff. More » -
