I just bought a LM52A650, and the ad copy pictures of the 650 series really make the red on the bezel more noticeable than it actually is in real life.

Even under relatively bright artificial light the red tint is barely noticeable, to such an extent that I kept getting confused as to which TVs in the store were 550 versus 650 (the 550 bezel is all black), and this was when I was looking at them from ~3ft away...

So if you don't like the red tint, see one in a store before you let that sway your decision.
