3DConnexion's 3D SpaceNavigator Mouse For Laptops

Big week for 3DConnexion, a Logitech company, as they update their twisting/rotating desktop SpaceNavigator mouse for laptops. We're not sure what differentiates this laptop version from the desktop version (which also works with Second Life), but it's got a "new cap design" and is smaller than the desktop version. It also looks quite nice in a knob sort of way. [BusinessWire]

SpaceNavigator 3D Mouse Gives Full Range of Motion to Second Life Avatars

3Dconnexion's SpaceNavigator, a rubber-capped multi-axis metal dial meant mainly for 3D design, has been put to even better use as a pan-dimensional controller for Second Life. The video says it all: watch as Beast, one of the "Lindens" who works at Second Life's founder company, demos movement of his avatar on both land and in the air, and even use SpaceNavigator side by side with a mouse. It's perhaps even cooler in build mode, where you can twist, push, pull and tilt—basically have free range of motion—when doing heavy construction. The SpaceNavigator is already available for $60, and works with Google Earth, Adobe Photoshop and a bunch of CAD and GIS apps. It will be available in Second Life at release 1.20. CNet Gives Logitech Squeezebox Duet the Ol' Editor's Choice Stamp

Logitech has been dying to get into wireless whole-house audio like Sonos and not a whole lot of others. Now that CNet has favorably reviewed the $400 Squeezebox Duet we told you about at CES, it may well have a shot. In living video, our buddy John Falcone explains the Wi-Fi-powered system, and notes that, aside from DRM protected content, the Squeezebox Duet gets at "any music, anywhere" including stuff from Rhapsody, Slacker, and Pandora, plus internet radio and podcasts. Logitech Wireless Stereo Headset is an Uncommon But Useful PC Accessory

Logitech's ClearChat Wireless PC headset might seem unremarkable, but a quick scan of Amazon shows there aren't really any non-bluetooth wireless stereo headsets on the market. There are plenty of wireless headphones without mics, one speaker 2.4 GHz wireless headsets and corded stereo headsets. But no product has combined the three ideas like the ClearChat new product. and Logitech claims the 2.4 GHz Wireless device is designed with VoIP users in mind, but we all really know why this is great: MMO fanboys can now head to the bathroom and drain a shotgunned gallon of Mountain Dew without abandoning their clan of orcs, elves and mages. The ClearChat PC Wireless Headset will go on sale in May for $100. More »

Logitech's Driving Force GT Wheel For Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Has Force Feedback, Shifter

Logitech's no stranger to racing wheels, but their latest PlayStation 3 wheel looks even fancier than its predecessors. There's a 900 degree lock-to-lock turn, which means you can maneuver it much like an actual wheel on your Toyota Corolla when sledding about the tracks of Nurburgring. There's also a horn, shifter, the standard PS3 controller buttons and measures 11-inches in diameter. Best of all, it's even backward compatible with Gran Turismo 3 and 4 on the PS2 so you won't have to wait until April for the PS3 GT5 Prologue. [Logitech via Crunchgear]

Logitech Cordless Bluetooth Desktop MX5500 Arrives (Again)

Logitech Makes Grab at Sonos' Audience with Squeezebox Duet

Logitech's Squeezebox Duet is a handheld receiver that uses 802.11g to wirelessly route music throughout your house, emanating from strategically placed little receivers—the first one included in the $400 starter kit. If this sounds familiar, it's because the most excellent but also more expensive Sonos Digital Music System does something very similar. More »

Logitech Z Cinéma 2.1 Speakers Handle Discrete 5.1 Without the Added Bulk

Logitech's new Z Cinéma 180-watt desktop speaker system with subwoofer take a discrete 5.1 digital input signal and apply SRS TruSurround to make it all surroundy without needing the center channel or extra speakers. These could even be good enough for a bedroom HDTV, not just a PC. Sure, some audiophiles say that this is no way to enjoy real cinema sound, but this virtual-surround fad is just not going away. The Z Cinéma connects with USB for 24-bit sound, has a convenient headphone jack and comes with a Media Center remote. Total price: $300.

Logitech Harmony One IR Remote Is Easy-Grip Capacitive-Touch Couch Buddy

Logitech's first new universal remote in a year, the $250 Harmony One, marries the sleek handheld grippiness of its skinnier Harmony models with the power of its $500 bad-ass, the Harmony 1000.
The Goods: The capacitive-touch 2.2" color screen is designed to respond quickly and accurately to your taps, while the ergonomically set tactile buttons should meet your general needs without you having to look down from your show. Like its predecessors, it uses an online database of 225,000 products to set up without any annoying codes to punch in.
The Catch: It's got a rechargeable battery, which is good for organized folks but bad for forgetful types. Also, PS3s and other new products can't be controlled with IR remotes, making the "universal" term less accurate. Oh, and we're already getting sick of this whole "One" naming scheme.

UPDATE: We've confirmed the news. Here are all the pretty shots. Hit the jump for full information Kat from Shiny Shiny got an early hands-on with a Logitech DiNovo Mini, a $149.99 wireless keyboard which you can use to control your Windows Media Center-equipped PC and your Sony Playstation 3. Dealzmodo: Logitech Harmony 550 $70

Tiger Direct has the Logitech Harmony 550 universal remote control for a cheap $69.99. We've got one of these ourselves, so we can safely say that it's the most cost- and time-effective way to control your entertainment system if you've got a bunch of devices. The best part is probably "activities," which turns on and off different units in tandem according to activities you set like "watching TV" or "watching DVDs." Skype and Logitech Team Up For High Quality Video Over Internet

UPDATED WITH VIDEO Logitech and Skype announced a partnership that they claim will bring "High Quality Video" over Skype calls, which they define as VGA resolution (640x480) at 30 fps. Back in February, we reported on a way to achieve this resolution with some tweaks to your settings. However, Skype claims that in order to enjoy the smoother video in full-screen mode, you'll need to have one of the Logitech QuickCams that are certified for High Quality Video, plus a dual-core processor. Kiss Crap Laptop Speakers Buh-Bye with Logitech's AudioHub Speaker Bar and USB Hub

Logitech's $99 AudioHub is what it looks like: a none-too-portable speaker bar for you to prop your laptop against. It's got a built-in 3-port USB hub, too. The smart thing is that both the audio and the USB connect to the laptop with the same single USB cable. If you have a webcam, you can attach it to the removable camera stand (shown in pic after the jump). The real question is, how does it sound? We'll answer that in October when AudioHub ships. More »

Fake Logitech G25 Edge Fan Art Shows Optimus-Style Keys

File this in the realm of totally false (Logitech said "this is definitely made up"), but here's some fan art of a possible Logitech G25 keyboard. It has their EDGE-line stylings, but combines Optimus style changeable display keys with a scrolling circle pad on the left. Yeah, we could see ourselves using something like this, but if we really had to choose, we'd have them make the keyboard curved, like the Microsoft Ultimate Keyboards. [Thanks Tipster!]

Logitech ClearChat Comfort and ClearChat Pro Headsets Scream Out "Sexy!"

I lied. Logitech's newest ClearChat wired headsets are not the sexiest of accoutrements, though they may prove useful in a frantic booty-call situation. The ClearChat Comfort ($40) features plush padded earcups and in-line volume control, plus a noise-canceling microphone. The step-up ClearChat Pro ($50) has a few extra features. More »
