@iomatic: Exactly. My gutters have nail posts running horizontal, attaching the gutter to the roof every 16 inches or so. this thing would get stuck on the first one.
@bilups: There's a .pdf template on their site so you can see if you're gonna have clearance problems before you buy. Besides, I don't consider this a 'robot'; merely a waterproof R/C tank with a prop on the front. When I can tap the 'GutterBot' icon on the SmartHouse screen, and it trundles out of the garage and cleans the gutters unsupervised, then I'll call it a 'robot' Till then, I'll stick with either a leaf blower (for dry) or hose (when wet) while standing on the roof.
@Hiroak: The reason the gutters need cleaned is that the water isnt draining due to crap in them. Power washer will only make them overflow and send the crap into the downspouts which are much harder to clean.
Dispite gutter guard and all manner of effort, I still have to clean my gutters at least twice a year. The best thing I have found for it is my small hand held garden trowel. Scoop the ICK out and toss it on the ground while crawling on my belly like a snake on my roof. Nasty but necessary job.
