”Laundry Concept Hides Washing Machine In Lounge Chair
Someone I know once had the awesome idea of turning a laundromat (popular here in my neck of the woods) into a singles bar. With this concept washer and dryer from Indian designer Harsha Vardhan, we could up our prospective plans a notch and instead turn laundromats into singles lounges. The make believe washing machine doubles as a large seat whether it's in active or passive mode. The inner chamber of the chaise acts as a pressure washer and cleans clothes with ionized air instead of water.

The Ice Lounge: Custom Seating to Enhance Ice Cream Eating
I like ice cream as much as the next guy, but all I need to enjoy it is a spoon or a cone and a nice hot day. However, Swiss ice cream manufacturer Mövenpick has taken things a step further by hiring Claudio Colucci to design a chair specifically customized to enhance the ice cream eating experience. The result is the "Ice Lounge"—a white cocoon that supposedly relaxes the mind and body while heightening the senses to the complex, sugary flavors. It also features a built-in music system, so hardcore ice cream connoisseurs are free to pair metal music with mint chocolate chip. Unfortunately, the Ice Lounge is for special events only. Hoverit Lounger: Relaxation Through Levitation
The latest in relaxation technology comes to us from British company Hoverit in the form of a handmade acrylic lounger that can hover in mid air. As you might have guessed, the gravity defying aspects of the chair derive from repelling magnetic forces in both the bed and base. Hoverit also suggests that the magnetic forces can "help back, muscular problems and headaches" in addition to delivering a relaxing sensation akin to floating on air. More after the break.
