Apple has done this in the past w/ previous Macbooks, so it isn't exactly as if this is new or news. In fact, many hardware companies do this to fix overheating issues.
Finally, releasing such an expensive product in that shape is just wrong. Though the way Apple treats their customers lately I've come to expect nothing less.
@imTheKing: That's a horrible analogy. When you buy a computer you expect it to work properly right out of the box, especially when it's at minimum a $2,799.00 purchase. Tires wear out, though I would expect that BMW to come with a set that will last at least a few miles.
