    i think this review was a complete waste of time. don't buy anything until monster enters the world of wireless console controllers. than you will have the best controller around. because monster makes the best wires.

    I have a better question: Can you name any third party controllers that are better than the "first-party" one?


    I've had zero luck with madcatz, nyko, you name it. And this is going back to when Blockbuster sold their own branded super-nintendo controller with the turbo buttons...

    @Thats Dr Bear to You: For the PS2, I liked the Logitech wireless controllers better than the wired ones from SONY.

    I've had rough experiences with Mad Catz.
    I never liked their controllers. But I've never liked any 3rd party controllers, so i guess they get a +1 for making it identical in size.

    @facepuncher: I would agree with you, but their most recent efforts into the fray, the Rock Band Fender Bass and the SF4 fightpads are simply top quality controllers. I perfer the SF4 fightpad over any other controller I have now. I will give this a shot, simply because it's acutally affordable.

    You're insane if you think their Rock Band Fender Bass is a quality controller. It is BY FAR the WORST 3rd party controller I've ever used for a rhythm game.

    I've always wondered why original brand video game controllers are always better than the third party ones. Are third parties just handicapped by licensing fees? In the PC peripheral market, for instance, the best controls are made by specialized companies like Logitech.

    Well in MadCatz's case it's because they'd rather make a cheap, shitty product than a cheap, quality product.
