Three new cologne-sounding code names for BlackBerry products, coming soon: Onyx, Driftwood, Magnum.

The secret list of three was procured by BGR, and is in all actuality a list of three different code names for one product, most likely sold by different carriers

You can see the similarities here, in the spec sheet:

BlackBerry Onyx:

* GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
* GPS
* Camera
* Wi-Fi (no UMA support)
* QWERTY keyboard
* 480×360 resolution screen
* Confirmed carriers: AT&T

BlackBerry Driftwood:

* GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
* GPS
* Camera
* Wi-Fi with UMA
* QWERTY keyboard

BlackBerry Magnum:

* GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
* GPS
* Camera
* Wi-Fi (no UMA support)
* QWERTY keyboard
* 480×360 resolution screen
* Confirmed carriers: AT&T

These are all 9000-series BlackBerry devices, all with 3G. No release dates or other tangibles were given, but like I said, code name-loving folk are consumed with the vapors right about now. [BGR]

<![CDATA[Leaked 2009 Blackberry Roadmap Hints at Touchscreen Bold, Storm Slider]]> A supposed 2009 Blackberry Roadmap posted on TmoNews Forums suggests that we'll not only be seeing the Curve 8900 next year, but also a touchscreen Bold and a Storm with a slide-out keyboard.

Forum moderator Godzilla posted the roadmap, which offers minimal details actual specs. It only says that the touchscreen Bold (9900, codename "Pluto") will maintain the same form factor and keyboard, and that the Storm slider is unconfirmed and targeted towards Europeans. which in addition to the aforementioned phones, also makes reference to HSPA and EV-DO versions of the 8900 (referred to as the 9220 and 8930, respectively), a 3G Kickstart, as well as an EV-DO/HSPA Bold. There was also talk of a refreshed line of Pearls with the new UI. The EV-DO products are due for a release in the first half of 2009, while the potential heavy hitters are slated for a release at the end of 2009. [TmoNews Forums]

<![CDATA[Gigantic Windows Mobile 'Phone' Leaves Us Scratching Our Heads]]> We can't really figure this thing out. It's supposed to be a joke "product" (we think) called the HTC Magnum. Either this man is holding a pretty gigantic tablet, or a widescreen monitor, or he's the most hormonally developed three-year-old we've ever seen. This thing, whatever it is, looks real in the sense that it doesn't seem to be Photoshopped, plus the images in the screens actually look pretty high resolution. That's is why we're so puzzled by it. What is this thing? Where can we get one? [Pocketpt via PortalPPC]

And now there's a video!
