It's an extremely bulky sport watch that features SiRF Star III GPS.

So while you will still need to use a Bluetooh connection to a PDAesque device to pull up a map, it's a better alternative to praying your cellphone has reception. The watch also features a heart rate monitor, speed/distance sensor and a thermometer—everything you need to assess just how much you should have hired that guide.

Between Bluetooth and GPS, we'd recommend packing an extra battery, or four...along with a compass. That is, if we can get this bad boy in the US at a decent price.
