No DLP for me - if I need an image that large I think I'll go ahead and spring for a projector.

@Costner: from what I hear, you get better brightness and picture on a DLP. The advantage of the projector (I suppose) is that you can make it even bigger than that, but every time you increase the size you decrease the brightness.

I don't get it. What does "3D ready" mean? Why can't normal TVs broadcast the images that you need 3D glasses to watch?

@Hello Mister Walrus: I have wondered that myself. It could be that the subtle variations necessary for "modern" 3D requires something in the electronics to be able to properly display it. That said, I do not claim to understand why a special screen is necessary for something like this.
