1.5 Million? LOL
Looks like that businessman is out of business for a long time...
With less than 10% of that sum people can do a BETTER version of Michael Jackson with or without color maps.
But I guess when it comes to famous dead people there really are people out there who would buy crap like that...
@Bokusatsu_Tenshi: yeah...try 1%...
scans like this are just the base - they have to be re-topologized to be usable for anything - NO ONE uses the actual scans for final work.
oh and what kind of data are we talking about 10K points? 100K? 500K?
1996 tech wasn't really that great for face scans - nothing like what you can get today...
no one who does 3D professionally will buy this...
I finally got myself to see it tonight and the movie has reminded me what gift MJ was to to us. After the movie i felt sad he has leave us too soon, but his legacy will always lives on in hearts and minds of people around the world. Ortega really did a good job put this documentary together and brought the real Michael to the world. I remember listening to his music in during elementary school and still have few of his albums CD somewhere. #michaeljacksonmovie
I just saw it tonight. The most amazing thing I took away from the show was the mastery of the music(and this encompases everything about music), that Michael owned...if there was something even a little off in anything, he was on it. He was a true perfectionist, but not an ass about it. He didn't light up anyone when he was telling them that they were "off". He kept it professional...and yes, I teared up numerous times...a good documentary to see if you liked MJ.
I gotta say he put on one hell of a last show through this movie. I was skeptical at first thinking it was going to be like watching a freak show, exploitation, etc. The movie captured what made him a musical genius. To be able to still sing and dance like he did was incredible. You could see him in his zone, and how much he wanted the show to be the best it could be for his fans. He still had it. The "rehearsal" was no rehearsal (it was insane). The whole world wasn't going to be able to see "the big 50 shows", but the "rehearsal" ended up being "the big show". Can't agree with Brian more. #michaeljacksonmovie
