um, the resolution of iPhone is 320x480 therefore it should have 320x480.

There is no point of using more resolution than what it natively supports.

@netrox: That's only the resolution of the native display, but that does not reflect on the resolution of the file the hardware supports. iPhones and iPods support well over what their hardware can display built-in, but can exhibit the video at higher quality through its docking port.

I'm trying to think of a situation where this would be really fun/great to use, but most scenarios I try to draw in my head see this thing inside someone's house/apartment, in which case, the composite or component AV cable would suit you much better, unless you're one of those sick demented freaks that don't own a TV.

@Kaiser-Machead: I have no TV or cable. I do have a 1080 projector for watching torrents though. Saves tons of money and wall space + Looks awesome.
