    I saw "MIPS", and wondered why the hell would someone today make a laptop with a MIPS processor??!! What does it run IRIX?

    The problem with 802.11b is that one device 802.11b running on an 802.11b/g network will slow the entire network to 802.11b speeds. So you're likely to see 80211b capability going by the wayside. Also, the rest of the specs mean this will remain strictly a Linux machine.
