Didn't they keep announcing this and then delaying it? I figure having Woz as their new booth babe means these things will finally ship.

@bostero2: Well, you start with the Apple tax, then strip the laptop of its shell and add a custom magnesium body, flush mounted capacitive (touch/multitouch) AND Wacom penabled 15 inch pen screen, you're bound to end up with something pricey.

    Pricey but awesome, that is.

As a portable Cintiq + Mac Pro alternative, this is viable.

An Apple tablet is a great idea. It would need a foldable screen, though. Can you imagine what kind of scratches it would endure otherwise?

@EVEs_Mako: This isn't a prototype, they ARE making it, come June anyway, and it's a pretty impressive machine.

If anyone comes by the Axiotron booth, stop by and say hi to me. I'll be drawing all day (week actually) on one of the "standard" modbooks under the Autodesk Sketchbook Pro banner.

Also doing demos on stage at 2:30 and 5:00 each day. If I can fill the theater I'll be a rock star.

And no, other than using their equipment I have no connection to Axiotron.

@livinzlife: Begging for people to come see me is cocky? I don't think so.
