DIY Project: Motorbike to Electric Motorbike

There's a new Instructables page up that shows you how to mod your regular motorbike into an eco-warrior electric cycle. You'll be able to hit a top speed of 70mph after shelling out $3000 to complete the project. Thankfully, you'll probably make the money back in saved fuel in approximately a days use. The machine pictured above is a mid-mod bike. Sure, the 72v motor is held in place by rope, but it isn't properly finished yet, so give the modder a break. If you have the time, spare cash, a bike that's looking at you with contempt and the technical know how, give it a shot and then send us a video of the finished article. Clarinet Gun Mod Artwork is Not for Band Practice

Take a peek at this insane clarinet mod, which causes the instrument to drop its musical roots in favor of something a bit more offensive. Unfortunately, there isn't an awful lot of information to go on, but the device clearly looks like an artwork installation, meaning it probably isn't going to be firing rounds of 0.270s anytime soon. Apple Floppy Drive Amp Mod is Retrofabulous

Check out this fantastic DIY project, which involves an Apple PC 5.2 Floppy Drive being modded into a fully functioning amp. I think you will agree; it looks quite amazing. The amp has four speaker terminals, face-mounted volume control, an RCA stereo jack and styling that makes us drool all over our now weakened knees. If you're willing to make the $5.99 investment for the floppy drive, give this awesome project a shot. If we weren't so lazy/cursed with abysmal soldering skills, we certainly would. [Instructables]

Segway Mods Taking Over the Dweeb World

We had no idea Segways were being modded even more than PCs. Of course, you can put crazy, gigantic wheels on the thing, but you can also add all kinds of containers to carry stuff, pull a trailer with it, gold plate it, turn it into a rickshaw, and of course, it wouldn't be an American invention without plenty of room for advertising.
