    They should change their name to Monster DBAG, thereby avoiding any future confusion between them and any other company with the word 'monster' in their title..

    Hopefully, the festering pile of nuclear bullshit will finally choke the life out of the head of this HDMI-compatible super serpent, and its lowly drones can all flood here:

    @Kaiser-Machead: They can't since they tried to sue them also. Now, they're on their shit list.

    So, can a court fine them for filing frivolous lawsuits? Isn't this sort of like abusing 911?

    @Hello Mister Walrus: Unfortunately, no. They just simply dismiss the case and drop the charges when the jury don't agree to carry the case on to further steps. No fine included.

    Abusing the 911 emergency line isn't a big deal because cops just come to check on you to make sure everything's okay - if it's a prank, the cops will just shout at you and leave without giving you any tickets or fines.

    @Theimbellis: Abusing 911 isn't a big deal?!?!?1

    Are you freaking kidding me? You clearly have NO clue what goes in to running a 911 service.

    Go volunteer with a rescue squad/fire department for a while and then tell me abusing 911 isn't a big deal.

    @Mondoz: No, I'm sure he's referring to the case where a woman called 911 because Burger King borked her order. The coffee-spill woman at McDonald's never called the police, but rather a lawyer.

    @Jagged Toaster: They currently have distribution deals with Anheuser-Busch and PepsiCo.. No doubt Monster [cable] would have their asses handed to them.

    @urbanturban666: i use their music cables almost exclusively. as for their hdmi cables, well, i'm 22 and have nary the funds to spend upwards of $200 for "superior" picture...especially when "that look's pretty damn good still for only spending $34 at best buy" is still an option.

    @worst. giz commenter. ever.: 34$ will work just fine, if you want an even better picture you should get something a little more highend... the problem with monster is that they sell there stuff with an uber highend pricetag even though they are not that much better than generics... people buy them cause they assume they are the best, and cause the salesman probably lied since the commission on those isnt bad...

    there are highend brands that are indeed superior to monsters crap and cost 1/2 as much as monsters... its all bestbuys trickery that keeps monsters on the shelves...most buyers dont educate themselves on cables that much and pony up the money...

    I also wish to lambaste Monster Cable's cables.

    99% of the people that buy their cables would not know the difference between Monster's speaker cables and some bulk cable bought at Home Depot. Most people's speakers aren't even precise enough to reproduce the sound accurately in the first place. That lack of oxidation, blah blah bullcrap is exactly that: bullcrap. Copper doesn't oxidize very quickly, even if you leave it bare, lying around outside. Wrap it in any kind of plastic jacket and it's gonna take longer than the life of your house to oxidize.

    I use underground-rated 12ga low-voltage wire. It's more expensive than lamp cord, but it's well insulated to withstand abuse and pulls easily through walls. (By "more expensive", I mean ~$0.35/ft).

    HDMI is digital and any generic (but not complete shit) cable will give you the same results as a Monster HDMI cable.
