@mzo: Sad and pathetic that you use something so non-nationalistic as Motherhood to complain about America when the origins of modern Mothers Day started out as a call for peace and disarmament in the United States in 1870 by Julia Ward Howe.
Most countries including the US, Australia, Canada and India are all celebrating it today.
@Curves: technically it originated from a chirstian festival here in europe (in the UK it happens on the 4th sunday of lent which was the 22nd of march this year), but whatever....
meh, I made a mistake when i said the whole thing was originated from that, as in the UK the holiday is slightly different. They originated from different sources and the UK one is like 4 centurys older than in the US But they essentialy are celebrating the exact same thing ... but you guys had to be assholes about, GJ
@Curves: While "asshole" is nice--and certainly a baseline standard against which any insult should be measured--my preference is to be called an "incredibly pathetic prick". And, wouldn't you know, lucky me, I got called exactly that in another thread today! I guess we're just living right, Curves.
@Curves: Not a pathetic prick. I mean, that is what you meant to say, right, not a pathetic prick. Just made a little typo, didn't you. One tiny, anyone-could-make-it, 5 consecutive characters typo...
@Curves: Moms are? I thought what made everything stick together was the jam from kiddie's hands. According to Luke from Gilmore Girls:
"I don't even like kids. They always have jam on their hands. Even when there isn't any jam in the house, they get jam on their hands. I can't deal with jam hands."
Maybe it's just because of the teeny-tiny tot in tow, but there's something about the scale of the Google icon that suggests "Attack of the 50 Foot Mom".
@Toastie: Shoot, went to hit the 'x' on that comment due to typos and the fact that it wasn't that funny to me and I hit 'submit'. Nothing to see here folks, just read on by.
