    Here's a question why would we ever only have one person on the moon? That's a serious safety hazard. Obviously from the clip he's a clone or something and no one cares about him.. Clone slaves?

    @snakepliskin: It seems like if the job could be done by one man (cloned, or not) couldn't they just have a robot do the job? Or couldn't the job be automated? I'm sure there is some sort of explanation and I feel very certain that telling us cloning is possible just spoiled a big part of the movie.

    @EricLA2NYC: Agreed. Gaz gave an awful lot of information away with that rundown. The trailer is just enough to make me want to see it without ever really explaining what is going on --- aside from what appears to be space madness.

    i generally dont care about spoilers. but i was actually looking forward to this as it's probably one of the few truly thought provoking sci-fi films we'll see this year.

    @Voyou_Charmant: It's a relatively minor spoiler and I'm pretty sure I read about it elsewhere, but I deleted that line. Sorry about that.


    But really, if you want to be surprised by movies you should almost never read the reviews. At least I don't.

    @putch: If mentioning plot points from the first 25% of the film is a spoiler, there's no way to write about a movie without spoiling it.

    The movie was excellent. While watching the movie I wasn't thinking about anything else, but enjoying the film. I wasn't thinking about my watch, or who just called me. I wasn't thinking about why I didn't pay my utility bill on time, and I wasn't worried about finding a new job since I've been laid off for the last two weeks. I was completely immersed in the world they were trying to create. It was almost as if I was there.


    The possible main character(s) emit[ted] a kind of emotion and sincerity rarely seen in this kind of flick. In one of the scenes I watched when your attention was drawn to the focal point of the scene, I was like: man, that did NOT just happen. But it did. And I was amazed.

    SPOILER: It Rocked. <-- that's a possible pun on the name of the movie you may be seeing, and hence a possible spoiler.

    @Adam Frucci: right and if this had happened on a site that generally has weekly movie reviews i wouldn't be quite so upset. but to have a spoilerish headline pop up in the feed and then have it confirmed in the first sentence is a little much, no?


    come on the title is a spoiler--literally. the previews at least leave the hallucination angle open. but you literally state there's another copy. then specify it's because of cloning. thanks.

    @putch: You're assuming a lot about the movie, including the fact that the cloning angle is a big reveal that sums up the whole movie. Why don't you see it and then decide whether or not I spoiled it.

    @kokodhem: The Dominion struggle was addictive. The whole Bajoran v. Cardassian conflict was also pretty interesting.


    But I think one of my favorite episodes of all time was with Tosk, the alien that can turn invisible, whose only purpose was to be hunted.

    Hey Jason- you might want to change that picture of the Enterprise. It isn't the movie one, it's a fan made rendering from a year or two ago, before the movie was anounced.


    Also, I would recommend reading the Countdown comic BEFORE the movie, as it is a prequel. It's prety decent and gives you more back story on Nero's ( the villian) backstory. It won't spoil anything other than howand why he and old Spock got to where they are in the movie.
