The image associated with this post is best viewed using a browser.Instead of a Photoshop Contest, this week we're holding an MS Paint Contest. And I want you to use everyone's favorite rudimentary image editor to design your dream iPhone apps.

Work up your masterpieces and send them to me at contests@gizmodo.com with "MS Paint iPhone Apps" as the subject. Don't send me BMP files! Instead, save your files as JPGs, GIFS or PNGs. Seriously, don't be sending me 3MB bitmaps or they won't be included. Save your files with a FirstnameLastname.jpg naming convention using whatever name you want to be credited with, and get 'em to me by next Tuesday morning. I'll pick the top three winners and put the rest of the best in our Gallery of Champions. Get to it!

MS Paint Gadget Fantasies are as Twisted as They are Unlikely

For this week's bonus MS Paint contest, I asked you to create fantastical fantasy gadgets using everyone's favorite rudimentary coloring program. Unsurprisingly, you guys have some pretty twisted fantasies that you want taken care of via unlikely technology. From promoting alcoholism to suggesting we turn the decomposing corpses of hippies into oil, today's Gallery of Champions really runs the gamut of subtlety and good taste. I salute you, MS Painters.

This week, we're having a bonus MS Paint contest. That's right, two contests in one week! Get excited! If you don't feel confident enough in your Photoshop skills to enter our Olympics-ruining contest, this is for you. I want you to create your dream gadget using MS Paint (or equivalent rudimentary image program).

Submit your entries in JPG, GIF, or PNG form with a FirstnameLastname.jpg naming convention to contests@gizmodo.com by Friday morning. On Friday afternoon, I'll post this MS Paint Gallery of Champions. After our last MS Paint contest, I have high expectations. Don't let me down!

90 Visions of Future in MS Paint are Terrifying, Insane

This week's Photoshop Contest wasn't a Photoshop Contest at all — it was an MS Paint contest. And while I knew I was going to get a boatload of insanity in my inbox, I wasn't quite prepared for what I got. You guys are insane. In a good way… I guess. In any case, I whittled the entries down to my favorites, and yet again, choosing a top 3 was next to impossible. This week, there's a top 3 and an honorable mention that I singled out because I'm vain and it mentions me getting a Pulitzer. Deal with it. One thing of note about the entries this week: there were an absolutely insane number of Apple/Steve Jobs references. I mean, there are always iPhones and Apple logos and Steve Jobs in the Photoshop Contest entries, but this week it felt like 90% of them had that in there. I'm not saying don't reference Apple, but I will say the ones without an Apple reference got preference for inclusion in the Gallery of MS Paint Champions so the whole thing wasn't all focused around the same "Apple as Overlords" joke. Food for thought for future contests.

Create Your Vision of the Future… Using MS Paint

This week, the Photoshop Contest is gonna be a little different. How so? Well, it's not going to be a Photoshop Contest at all. It's going to be an MS Paint Contest. Last week we saw some of the most technically-proficient entries in a contest yet, which was awesome. But let's lower the barrier to entry here. Not everyone is a Photoshop genius, but pretty much everyone can create an MS Paint masterpiece. Which is why this week, by popular demand, I want you to create your vision of the future for me using everyone's favorite rudimentary image editor. This being a unique contest does mean, however, that there are some extra caveats. Read on.

First of all, I'm expecting a boatload of entries for this one because so many more people have the necessary tools. That means the standards are raised on this one. Since making it pretty isn't necessary, only the funniest and most creative entries will make it. Nobody wants a gallery with 500 MS Paint abortions in it. I'll be whittling it down to the best of the best, so put some effort in.

Secondly, don't, for the love of god, send me BMP files. I know that's what the default setting is, but I think my inbox would explode if I suddenly got hundreds of emails with 1.5MB image files attached. Use PNG, JPG or GIF. As usual, name your files FirstnameLastname.jpg (or .gif or .png) so you're credited properly for your genius.

Thirdly… have fun! I want to see some balls-out crazy entries here, and I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I can't wait to see what you nutbags come up with.
