I didn't even realize you should or could clean them. How would you even go about cleaning that thing?
Sometimes I turn my mighty mouse upside down, shake it, and yell at it when the nipple thingy doesn't work and it does seem to help, but is there a better way?

With that said, however, I really wonder how this mouse is supposed to work with the trackpad on the front. It seems like something that wouldn't work too well.

The PCs in my house all run RocketDock because, as a lifelong PC user, I still think that the Dock is better than the Start menu.
Similarly, one area in which Apple has consistently beat all comers in laptop design is the trackpad. Apple trackpads are always spacious, which is a major selling point.
Mouse design has always been a weak point in Apple design. The hockey puck from the 1G iMac was hated across the board. While Apple was creating "interesting" mouse designs, Microsoft and Logitech were creating ergonomic and functional mouse designs.
It's obstinacy that prevents Apple from shipping a mouse with two visible mechanical buttons.

If you continue to ship mice with only one visible button, people will continue to complain that you only make one-button mice.
A mouse is not a fashion accessory; it is a vital component for a functional and productive computer setup. A mouse with two separate mechanical clicking mouse buttons is preferred because it provides the user with tactile feedback for commands.
Please do not accept this horrible monstrosity as a potential successor to your already horrible Mighty Mouse. Instead, please either borrow heavily from Microsoft or Logitech, two companies with proven track records of good mouse design.
