    I remember the gimmicky neck cooling fans, but more closely related was a late-70's device called the "Bone Fone", which also went over the neck, and plugged into any audio source that took a headphone connection.


    From all appearances it was just a fabric sleeve containing some speakers that were pointed into the collarbone, but they made a number of specious claims in the ads about resonance and such.
