Make that, a live news anchored program by character Misato.

The news program runs on software that collects news from real-life news (politics, the economy, sports and, yes, the anime industry). A Cellius voice synthesis engine is used to have Misato read said news in real time on this Nerv News 24 television program.

It's even possible to customize the show's backdrop to the secret Evangelion Nerv headquarters, Misato's dinning room and whatnot. It's also possible to customize her hair and her clothing.

The Misato Katsuragi News Project goes live in Japan on June 6.

<![CDATA[Lego Evangelion Unit 01 Probably Unintentionally Commemorates a Soon-to-Be-Released Special Edition Box Set]]> Giz Japan shares our love of Lego and Neon Genesis Evangelion, so they sent us some shots of this grey Unit 01 built by mumu-san. Like Giz Japan's editors, we'd like to see some purple blocks in the interest of being faithful (and probably more attractive), but overall it looks pretty good. Really though, what we'd like to see is a giant LEGO Pen-Pen. Like two stories. At least.

<![CDATA[Official Neon Genesis Evangelion Headset: Surprise, It's a Collector's Item]]> Evangelion fans rejoice, you now have the perfect complement to the NERV iPod, the NERV mouse and (uh, I guess) the Eva bike: the official Evangelion Headset, built by the Japanese company Chara-Ani in a partnership with Audio-Technica.

Absolutely no specs or price, other than that it comes in a tricked-out box. Granted, it's not like any of those things matter to Eva fans, since they're going to buy it anyway.

<![CDATA[Neon Genesis Evangelion Bike]]> This week's Tokyo International Anime Fair saw the debut of the EVA 01 bike, modeled after the popular Neon Genesis Evangelion series. The bike has a six-speed Shimano transmission, suspension for front and rear and can be folded into a more compact shape. To the dismay of fanboys everywhere, this model is colored to match the first Eva unit, but the company has no plans to release more models to emulate the other Eva units. To make your collection complete, be sure to ride this baby while listening to your Neon Genesis Evangelion iPod.
