    Is it just me or did the reality distortion field collapse a lot faster than usual after yesterday's event?

    The no camera in the iPod Touch really marred yesterday's event.

    Wow, it has radio? That's awesome! Apple, welcome to 2006! Zune V1 had radio, and the new HD version has ... well, HD radio. And Zune has an infinite play list thing too, although it works better in some ways, since you can get an unlimited Zune pass.

    I like how they were like, "oh people are buying flips for 150 so buy an ipod nano instead. It has a video camera so it's like a million times better though it only records at 640 by 480 at 1.5 mbps"

    FYI the flip records actaul HD video at 9 Mbps. The quality of the nano video doesn't even compare. The flip is like an exponential increase in quality.

    @kingbob337: FYI, the HD Mino retails for $199, and is $170 on Amazon right now. It has 4 GB of memory.

    The Nano will hold much more video, though you're probably right about the quality.

    smooth? looks like the same old clunky iPod interface from 2001 to me. ZuneHD is the smoothest interface I've seen so far.

    @Abssy_East: Yeah. That and, most people already have a camera on their phones. If you're walking around with an mp3 player, you've probably got that phone on you as well. The YouTube mobile apps lets you upload videos from your phone, too. Even on phones that only have Java. So...

    So, wait a minute. The camera takes video, but not stills? If it's capable of 640x480 video, then I imagine it's probably a 3MP sensor, like in the 3GS. Are they just forgetting to mention the still camera part?

    @driftingphotog: I realize that. I was extrapolating from the video resolution of 640x480, in which the 3GS's 3MP sensor records. In every still/video device I've ever seen, video capture is always at a much lower resolution than still capture. For instance my old canon camcorder took 2MP stills, but video was NTSC. Of course, by now I've read all about how and why the Nano doesn't take stills, so nevermind...
