This reminds me of something neat I spotted today, basically a bike whose front and back lights had small (almost unnoticeable) solar cells integrated into them.

Presumably they allowed the lights to be automagically charged during the day, and then ready for use in the evening without those annoying dynamos that makes it harder to pedal.

My hat off to the one who came up with that idea.

@TheLostVikings: The only downside I see to that is depending where you live, those lights will develop legs when you leave it outside.

@I work as a meth lab technician: Actually, I do live in the East Coast. I'm up early so I can go feed the horses on my farm. While, I'm sure Mr. Hand there would LOVE to visit my farm and meet my horses, I doubt he's up this early to be doing any hard work. He probably has to catch a small bus to school.

Anyway, I don't see the point of making this solar powered. Your car, where this is useful, has plenty of power to spare so it's not going to save you anything other than a cord running to your 12v slot.
