    @Wilson Rothman: To be honest 99% of the population doesnt know what HDMI is. Whoever is marketing them is a genius though because everyone i run into thinks you cant play 1080p without an hdmi.

    I think too often netbook reviews dont get what netbooks are. small cheap and access the series of tubes. I think the idea here is if you are getting a 3g package from sprint you might as well get some extra benefits when you sign the contract. #nokiabooklet3g

    @Wilson Rothman: I think they were going for the primary benefit of HDMI. It's audio and video on one cable firstly; ability to handle 1080p secondly. #nokiabooklet3g

    It's really a shame, considering how nice this thing looks. If I was going to pay $600 for a netbook, I'd rather get a Lenovo S12 with the NVidia ION, 2GB of RAM and 250GB HDD. #nokiabooklet3g

    I'm a big fan of Nokia & hope they can save their sinking ship (this would make for a sweet hackintosh) but $600 for a netbook is way tooooo much.

    And the subsidized option isn't much better....

    There's absolutely nothing wrong with AT&T's 3G service. Connectivity and network speeds are beyond reproach.

    If not for the allegedly shitty AT&T network, I'd say this is a good deal. It's still cheaper than getting a contract on a separate dongle.

    Thanks for the review Joanna. I'd be curious to know how much actual mileage you get outta that battery. I don't know if I'd get used to the chicklet keyboard thought. I didn't like it on the MacBook so I returned it (that and the damn thing was dog slow). As far as the SIM goes if I were using this I would probably just tether the phone instead of SIM swapping. The price is definitely going to be the real ballbuster here. If Nokia has any hopes of penetrating the market with this thing the price has to come down. I mean seriously who do they think they are, Apple...

    Seriously though, no Ion, what seems to be fairly basic netbook internals throughout, save for the battery, and they dare try to price it along the same lines as a mid-range full-sized laptop? Nokia, get off the crack ya bombaclods.
