I have a replacement elite after my original bought on the first day of release got the RRoD, and since the install of NXE the menus are slow to respond and will even stall and not allow me to do anything for 15 - 30 seconds. It's a pain in the ass.

Sorry 360 Fan boys.. but the 360 has been a mess since day one. Typical MS crap, they take 2 years to resolve things.. I'm sure Vista will work great after Win7 comes out. They don't care about their customer base like Sony does. If there is an issue.. Sony seems to resolve it usually within 24 hours.

The troll is weak with this one.

I think it may be random, I just got my Xbox from Santa Claus, and I get no sound through HDMI.
Not sure if it was mentioned but the only way for me to get sound is to take my HDD off, start up the console and let it load, then put the HDD back on then it resets itself and I have sound.
every.single.time it sucks.

HDMI audio works just fine for me too.

But I also don't normally use the TV speakers, so it may have been intermittently dropping out with out me noticing (I use the HDMI->TV and AV/optical out to my old 5.1 deck)...
But I know the audio signal on the HDMI works whenever I have the TV speakers on.

They have some very bizarre, and self-contradictory views on content. They also have lots of confusion over Proprietary vs. Open Standard. Add to that their increasingly low-quality hardware and poor design, and things just go from bad to worse.
I'm certainly not saying other competitive companies are better, but this is just one more reason why I avoid Sony products completely.

Microsoft on the other hand loves to nickel-and-dime for features. Netflix on the 360, for example, requires TWO separate subscriptions to use.

I am not sure of the # of people who would use the Netflix program, but I can't see it being a very big factor that determines a persons reason for having a PS3. Maybe if you love Netflix and rent tons of movies all the time from their streaming service sure.
For those of you saying "I would sell my PS3 if..." well something obviously made you buy it and keep it until this point. Probably shouldn't say anything until you actually sell it cause then your point is moot as Sony still has your money.
