    It says it has a diesel engine, but diesel is not explosive. So what's the point of having an armored gas tank?


    Maybe we're missing some information here, or that diagram is inaccurate.

    @Adam Best: I'm guessing the foam is the same as other cars like this I have seen. It expands when it comes in contact with oil, so it actually seals up the hole. It prevents it from leaking. I don't think the author here was the "best".

    Highly speculative. Oddly enough, the first thing that cued my BS meter was the mentioned of pump-action shotguns. I know for a fact that Secret Service carry submachine guns whenever they need to arm up from pistols.

    @Jeb_Hoge: If this is like most other armored vehicles, there are gun ports built into the inside that can't bee seen from the outside. A blast of 00 shot will do more damage than a MP5 at close range.

    @SonyCEO_SirGitEmSteveDave: I doubt it can go faster than that... all the extra weight that the armor plating adds on, and the engine compartment is the same size as a regular sedan? Four doors, each weighing the same as a 757's, steel rimmed tires, all that bullet proof glass, a jazzed up chassis that can withstand rocket fire? Yeah, tank's bigger and heavier, but it also has a much larger engine capacity...

    @extrasport161: Remember that a plane is mostly made of Aluminum for weight saving. And from what I have read, the engines are usually truck engines that they stick in there. Clinton's limo used the same engine as a 3/4 ton GM pick-up. So they can go as fast as a HD pickup hauling a load.
