    Well, anyway, there is for all practical purposes no visual difference between 1920x1080i and 1920x1080p, and I'm even talking "visual information." Especially if you're talking 1080i60 versus 1080p24, the data rates are much the same. Most of the sources we see at 1080i are heavily compressed (broadcast) sources, so you might think 1080i is "worse" or "bad." An uncompressed 1080i versus uncompressed 1080p24 is going to be undiscernably different except in very unusually high-panning, high-motion scenes (as long as you have a capable de-interlacer).

    It's either, but I think Octopi is only accepted because people incorrectly substituted it for Octopuses for so long. FYI, Gizmodo will now be mostly about octopods.

    @moonphrogg: I once had an argument with an English teacher if the plural of Elvis was Elvii. He said no, b/c there is only one Elvis, and refused to entertain my example of a large convention of Elvis impersonators. So then I asked him if Lexii was the correct plural of Lexus. He walked away then.

    @NHTOB_GitEmSteveDave loves->★: I once went to a Lexus dealership to ask about proper pluralization. The salesman called over his supervisor, who (after an incredulous look and a very long pause) declared "Lexus" to be its own plural.
