But let's be honest, would any other high tech company out there so brazenly make fun of the eighties? How cool are we?! We deliberately foster this atmosphere of cool! We hire kids studying "graffiti arts" in a private school in the suburbs to come in and paint a specific, specially designed "mural wall" on the outside of our building. Our cafeteria is stocked with "orangina" and every day we have a different ethnic food. Our employee base is accurately diversified to reflect the ethnic heritage of America, although to be sure, we recruited them all from top league schools.... It's great to have a mexican on board, but let's be clear about this... a Stanford mexican.
Well okay folks we've been enjoying this "shenanigans" time for about 12 minutes now, which is 2 minutes more than I had allotted for it this morning. So let's all get back to work. And remember how totally unique our high tech company is. This 80s cubicle is nothing like the 80s cubicle at Apple and Microsoft. Theirs has a Voltron figurine in it. We couldn't get one. All right, back to work.
Oh and dave, you're fired. #oldschoolcubicle

What is that from the second picture though? The thing looks exactly like the thing you drive around in Mass Effect. #oldschoolcubicle

Either way, I feel like playing Bad Dudes and Platoon on that thing. Something about old computers that I have a thing for. (Notably their games, and goofing off on BBSs when my homework were done as a kid.) #oldschoolcubicle

And to think that we thought those monitor sizes were more than enough!
What I really want to see is his game collection for that thing. AMIGA and ATARI ST had some pretty badass games on their computers!
That, my friend, feels more like the golden age of computer gaming. #oldschoolcubicle

It's an Atari 1040 ST. It's "monitor stand" is actually Atari's Hard Drive (20MB) in it's Mega ST form factor and it looks like the monitor is the color one (They made both color and black and white models).
For what it's worth I used to work at one of the largest Atari ST stores in the country (Computer STudio). We even had Atari folks come and visit us on occasion... fun times.

Yeah, I remembered both monitor configurations and never understood why one would want to go with the B/W configuration, even if just using business apps.
Also, pretty cool that you worked at Computer STudio! I remember hearing about them alot as a kid, but I don't think I've had a location near me at the time. Back then, it were basically a choice between Walden Software, Electronics Boutique and a few department stores that are now defunct.
Fun times! #oldschoolcubicle

The same can be said of MUDs and "door games", like Legend of Red Dragon (LoRD). #oldschoolcubicle
