Gah! Hopefully this just pushes Sony to bring it natively to the PS3 via a XMB application. Likel? No. Am I still hopeful? Yes...

Basically Hulu wanted to get paid by Sony and could not come up with a way.

Given that the XboxLive Network is so locked down, I am sure that M$ is writting a check to Hulu to allow for this to happen.

That's OK. I have a PC connected to my 56" TV.

Fine. Be that way Hulu, I'll just download my favorite TV shows and watch them off my external hard drive connected to my PS3. Its easier and better quality anyway. Definitely a dick move on their part. Especially since you can connect your PC to a TV.

"Content Providers" need to remember that they are the business and the consumer is the customer. Stop telling your customers that they can't have it their way. Content Providers need to remove their collective head from their collective anus.

Hulu is backwards anyway. Its only available for USA customers, and the internet is a worldwide media outlet. I still don't understand why its around.

Yeah, but, TV nowadays have a VGA connector port, and Video Cards now come with HDMI. If not, you can find DVI to HDMI adapters and connect your PC to your TV.

Thats not really a plausible excuse from contend providers. What they must see is that a TV is just a monitor. Their shows are still streamed to an Internet enable hardware. It does not make a damn difference.

@SysRq: my question is, if they dont want stuff connected to a tv why did they make a hulu desktop app that works with windows media center's remote? surely they realize WMC is for pcs generally connected to tvs

So, let me get this straight: You can stream Hulu on a 360, but not on a PS3?

    Right.....

@GiuliaDafoe: I think that is coming some time this fall with the new dashboard upgrade.

Unless you are referring to PlayOn, which has also been blocked by HULU as of last Thursday.
