I had Vista installed on my Macbook via BootCamp and when I tried to install Visual Studio 2005 I got a DUAL BSOD. I looked like a split screen kernal panic with each core of the processor to blame.

For those saying that this isn't an iBook, it is. It has the identical two-tone of the bottom case assembly, and because the power button is white and the casing around the keyboard is grey, it does stand out like that. As for the argument that it has no branding on it: There's no branding anywhere. That's why it has a fake "EMAIL" website, no recognizable video game and so forth. Powerbooks get touched up in commercials so that all you see is the case design, but nothing else to indicate that it's an Apple computer. The "iBook G4" moniker is covered up/removed, as well as the Apple logo. It's cheaper to just debrand a current system than to build a totally new knockoff.

So I'm suprised the editors, and all of you commenters, didnt notice this... thats not an iBook. It looks like one... but its not. Look closely, Apple has never designed a screen hinge like that, that little strip where the camera should be isnt a camera and the power button is weird looking. Not to mention it dosent say iBook on the lower display. Not an iBook.

@Zach Moore: That IS an iBook G4. That's what the hinge of that system looks like. Also, the computer was given cosmetic mods so that it looks like a generic PC. All you have to do is put some black strip on the bezel to pretend there's a camera, and remove any branding labels and logos. They do that on Powerbooks in commercials all the time.

Yup, I see this dumb commercial every night & my wife is getting tired of me commenting on the BSOD on an iBook & all the other Macs with no logos.

But technically, there was Virtual PC back in the day, so...

I love seeing Macs running Windows with fake error messages on the screen.

@nucwin83: First time I saw that commercial I said. I HAVE THAT COMPUTER IT'S A iBOOK THEY DON'T DO THAT!!! I got really angry. Plus that guys voice is really annoying. FinallyFast.com FinallyFast.com FinallyFast.com Yeah I know repetition works but when you say it that much you're just pissing people off.

@nyaz: As someone who does repairs as a side thing until I get my Comp TIA, and being advanced computer user I know better. I had a old iBook G4 12" which the motherboard on it crapped out on me, and now have a even better powerbook G4 1.33ghz 12" which I love, and I know that all PowerPC based macs cannot do windows. the only way one would be able to do windows is if they ran it on a virutual machine, but performance would be slow on a PowerPC machine as windows is not meant for PowerPC based macs/PCs. But nativity speaking, you can't dual boot windows on a PowerPC based mac. intel macs are a different story, they can, but the ibook shown in this commercial is clearly not a intel mac.

Plus I am willing to bet the software they are talking about is probably not free to use off their site. As for windows CCleaner is free, and for mac (probably not covered by them, even though they are using ibooks and imacs on their commercial) OynX which is also free. But no matter what, even fully optimized if you computer is a POS then it will still be slow. If your computer is not so old, then upgrading the RAM or graphics card will get you where you want to be.
