"Always two there are. No more. No less."

I totally installed CS4 Master collection 2 weeks ago and cracked in by granting root access to a disable_activation_osx script.
Luckily everything is still running wonderfully. Ehh--close call. Time to start being careful.

@MadCrazy: I have no idea why you say that. He makes a point. People should get their stuff legally and they'll avoid such things. Are you saying we should pirate?

I wish Adobe products were cheaper, but there are alternatives that are less expensive. You simply prefer to whine and bitch about it, and condone an illegal act, because you obviously have no legitimate skills to earn enough money to purchase it legally, or lack the cognitive skills required to seek cheaper alternatives.
You have built up a delusional thesis to supports your own inadequacy, and you use your peers (who are apparently equally lazy and/or dumb, by your own admission) as a means of support for your illogical statements. It would be interesting, if down the line, you were the owner of a retail outlet that was frequented by thieves. I wonder how you might feel then.

Does your cat know about Photoshop Elements?

And this is just the start.
I've been saying that as OSX started gaining market share we would start seeing malware for it. OSX has gotten popular enough now that a userbase of low level pirates have developed, and, since they believe they are technically competent when they really don't have a clue, it is extremely easy to get this group to install things themselves regardless of OS.
This is where it starts, from here things will get worse as more attention is paid to OSX more exploits will be found and real virii will be released into the wild to propagate freely amongst all of the unprotected Macs (and likely Hackintosh installs).
I'm also going to throw out the prediction that Apple will not do anything significant to prevent this scenario until it makes mainstream news.

5) rm /usr/bin/iWorkServices
6) rm -r /Library/Receipts/iWorkServices.pkg

the Nickelback profile song
to
the iPhone profile images
to
the declaration of joining the military
to
the picture of Shia Ladouche
to
the picture of himself, taken, by himself (aaawww, someone is so unpopular that no one wants to take a picture of you.)
to
the begging of shoutouts to women
and so on and so on. Now that I think about it, it's kinda not funny, but more really sad. Hey kid, don't worry, there's one solution...

Please point me towards your page, im sure its filled up with how you spend your life commenting on a tach blog :)
First off, your not going to gain any popularity saying you dont like nickelback, most people love them, sorry. But props for making fun of our military, i would love for you to say that to some of my friends serving in iraq right now. Actually i would love to take you down to my recruiting office and have you say that to all the kids volunteering for this country.
Now for shia, you must be insanely jealous of him or something not to admit he's an amazing actor, with the help of steven speildburg he's going to be the next tom hanks.
Taking pictures of myself? Have you nothing else to insult?! :D hahahahaha.
Atleast im cute enough to have pictures.
Hahaha look at your page! Your such a loser that you have nothing to say about yourself?! :D
With kids like that you must not be a good lookin fellow. Get a life dude.
hahahahahah :D

lol i cant wait till snow leopard buries windows 7, maybe then the haters will be quiet :)
01/22/09
01/22/09
Windows 7 is, so far, a wonderful OS with loads of promise and so fanboys like Erik have lost the 'vista sux lmfao' ammo.
All you have left is hoping, praying and wishing that Windows 7 will be somehow 'buried' by yet another hum-drum OSX upgrade.
01/22/09
win7 sucks, where u been?
buggier than vista if you can believe that.
01/22/09
01/22/09
oh yes, i have it installed.
Bugs and freezes galore.
01/22/09
Just want to make sure we are on the same page.
01/22/09
lol.. why would i be banned, for taking an un-popular stance?
So what is windows 7 sucks, get over it and stop crying your eyes out.

You pulled the same crap when you used to post as iAirmanshirk. Enough already. I thought maybe Uncle Sam would have pounded some maturity into you during basic training. Obviously that was not the case..
01/22/09
Shame, because it means that the story is likely to remain buried here in techie world while the mainstream public remains blissfully ignorant. Apple probably won't do anything more than issue a removal patch (which will undoubtedly also nuke the pirated iWork)... I honestly don't think they're going to take security seriously (and by "seriously" I mean not just relying on OSX's 'nix core and obscurity) until they get hit hard in the mainstream media.
01/22/09
HE'S BANNED!
01/22/09
Good work.

Straight from a respected Scene release group, through trusted channels, you're probably safe. There are rules that regulate Scene releases and if they break them the wrath of the whole scene shall fall upon them... basically, they would never be able to use the internet again, their personal / financial info would be leaked, and there would be a good chance of a government entity showing up at their door.

01/22/09
You think that distributing their software through torrents is official?
01/22/09
The draw for many people to OSX is the belief that it is impervious to malware, no matter what they do. For Apple to be behind this, whether officially or not, would be catastrophically stupid. The damage to OSX's "safe" image would be far more costly than if even a huge portion of Mac owners pirated iWork.
