Vauxhall Sky Garden Building Gets Three-Storey Gardens Inside

This 130m skyscraper has been approved for building in London, but unlike "dead" conventional buildings, the Sky Garden includes plans for two three-story gardens to be built inside it. The idea is to "create a space for social interaction" and "foster micro communities," which sounds like a neat way of combining green eco-friendliness and dense urban buildings. The gardens will cover about 2,500 square meters in total: a significant proportion of the building to give up from your normal retail/accommodation space. And it's just going to be way cool to take a stroll in the "park" in your own building. [DesignBoom]

A Robotic Jurassic Park Coming to Dubai

When it comes to Dubai and attracting wealthy tourists, the word "restraint" is seldom used. Perhaps that is why it is not surprising that the locals are building a $1 billion theme park that will feature over 100 animatronic dinosaurs of 40 different species. Dubbed "Restless Planet," the park will attempt to provide an educational experience amid all of the Vegas-style spectacle. This will be done using history themed rides and robots/habitats that represent an accurate portrayal (based on current knowledge) of what life was like millions of years ago.

The robots will also be capable of interacting with guests by following them with their eyes or lunging at them as the walk by. Even though you would think that keeping the wraps on a 500,000 square foot park would be difficult, further details are scarce. Meerkats - Better at Acting in Nature Shows than Photography

Ian Turner is a zookeeper at Longleat Safari Park. He is also rather forgetful. After taking some pictures of his meerkats for a new zoo brochure, he left his Canon EOS in their enclosure. Apparently the alpha male, Monty, secretly harbors a gadget obsession, and jumped at the chance to snap a few shots of his family for posterity. Have a look at his sub-par photos below.
